They say to own your success is to not believe that you deserve it (even used recently in a popular tv show). There is no one that deserves this more than Barbie. She is one of the most genuine people i have ever had the pleasure of conversing with, she has worked hard and through sacrifice has mastered her craft, yet humble enough to want to pass it on. 100% awesomeness in this woman. So Eric, you may remember that I’ve been a Welder/Fabricator for 45 years before a bad electrical contractor messed up putting power into my shop and electrocuted me & almost killed me 2 1/2 yr. ago. I’ve alway believed that women are better welders than men, Barbie being proof of that for sure! Though my career has been ended I’ve struggle to heal to eventually get back into my personal home shop. I’d love to attempt to make my own hands with a stinger in my left hand and a pair of forging tongs in my right hand. I’m inspired and encouraged by both of you as always. And have been following you for many years. PTSD is a real suckfest, It takes very strong folks and makes them mush! You guys encourage without knowing it. Thank you!

I took a “welding class” through my community college adult education program. Had a blast creating metal bird poop. Watching a talented welder drop a bead that hardly needs grinding is a joy. Then, connect that to a brain which seems to pluck creative ideas from the clouds, we are in a totally different realm. Barbie, I love your passion for your calling.
I was proficient at laying down bird poop when I first started!😂😂😂 Everyone starts there! The reason my grinding is so damn good today is because my welding was so awful in the beginning!😂😜😘
In all honesty if I hit a point where I was having to support a family on $10k a year I just don’t know that I could keep sane. Art and all that aside, This women just puts her head down and says “f it let’s learn how to weld”. That’s toughness and that’s the spirit that makes us all better. Good for you and well done. Keep kicking life in the nuts.
