What ? It was furlough that has done the damage tbh aswell as the debt labour previously ran up. Now it's just being squandered on boat people and foreign aid. Our country hasn't got its house in order

The amount spent on debt interest went from approx. £30bn a year to over £100bn because of borrowing during the pandemic to fund furlough this is leading to the requirement to cut £70bn a year from other areas. People do not understand that we are paying the price for furlough now.

How the winter fuel was never linked to affordability and means testing pensioners ill never know. Sure some of those living in massive houses with no mortgages maybe cash poor, but its their choice to keep their large home, against those living in council flats without private pensions who are over 65 with no heating, removing the support will mean we see many deaths this winter if its a very cold one at the same time as putting train drivers on 70k is a travesty.

I assume the 'Daily' in Daily Telegraph describes their memory span, because I seem to remember a certain mini budget may have been worse. I also seem to remember it was these plonkers that hailed it "the first truly conservative budget in decades", so I remain a little skeptical of it all.

How I would serve Hunt his tea! Cold and over his head
    Smug, arrogant and intorable.
How does Hunt think Rachel is doing and he worries about what Labour will do. The arrogance of this man is really obnoxious
Tories have brought the country to its knees. 17 tax increases and has the affront to say he is wortied about the NHS.
Could not make this up. The Tories actually believe that they were intitled to remain in government.
We know it is about choice and the citizens who put their cross during the GE made that choice Tories booted out with a size 14 boot. Wonderful
Out the Tories are and the problem is they do not comprehend why.
Vile political party. Corrupt to the core.

When he says he's worried about the NHS, what he means is that he's worried that he and his Tory-donor mates might not be able to profit from it as much going forward.

Who creates money from nothing ? Privately owned banks
Who "borrows" from them ? Government
Who pays them back ? We do via tax theft
Who really holds the power ? The private individuals who own the banks
Why does any law abiding, tax paying voter tolerate this crime ? Because our silence is consent
    Resist !

Indeed, under the Tories, that was the case. They basically just put asylum-seekers in to storage at our expense, and they were not allowed to work. Labour have begun processing them, and some have been sent back to their country of origin, and other asylum claimants have been successful, meaning that they can now get jobs and start contributing/paying tax etc.

Employers National Insurance Increase. What will be the Result. Companies will Increase the Prices of Goods or Services to the People. Which results in US paying Higher Prices. So in effect it becomes a Stealth Tax on the People of the Country. Never been a big fan of Jeremy Hunt. But must agree with most of what he is saying here. 22 Billion Black Hole is based on the OBR Figures. But there are 4 Sets of Figures to Calculate the Countries Finances From 4 Departments. 2nd Set give the abilty to Borrow 8 Billion and the 4th Set gives the abilty to Borrow 68 Billion. Big swing there from OBR to the 4th set of figures of 90 Billion. Using the 4th Set of figures comes with Big Risks of Damaging the Economy and can Create Inflation plus Unemployment increase. That Reeves Fiscal Rule Change using the 4th Set of Calculations. The other sets of figures mentioned are based on reports from. Public Sector Net Debt. Public Sector Finacial Liabilities and the other Public Sector Net Worth.
