Demonstrating a quality that many talented drummers struggle to attain: restraint. Give the band lots of space, but still drive the song with feel (something that gets lost in a time of quantization and copy-paste). Beautifully done. And I'll add that the camera quality and editing make this an enjoyable watch!
was learning this and used yours for a reference, good stuff - im not sure the snare fill in the chorus is correct though, i think its 4 notes (left led), not 3, i think it might be called a 'herta'
Thanks! I checked the multitrack before recording it, and I remember being pretty sure it was three strokes. It could also be, that these are 2 doubles, and one was not that strong. So it could also be like a herta played with doubles.
@@CharlieFader hi, after listening back a few times i think you’re right about the doubles, i think the sticking is rllR, with an emphasis on the last note. Havent had a go on my kit yet though. Thanks for the reply!

Drums are 75% feeling. This "simple"song is a total blast to play.
I was just saying its like U2s Silver and Gold, the beat is soo simple but you cant stop bending at the knee...
I don't even know how to play the drums, but I love watching these drum covers. Great cover of one of the most underrated band
I built a massive set last year, I hadn't played since 2006, and this was the first song I turned on to play...
Great cover! Filming and editing are great also!
Solid and beautiful cover of this Pixies classic! Camera work is very cool!
Great cover !
Hi guy !!! I’m french and I’m drumer beginner. I’m learning this song and I want to thank you for your good work. Bye.

@@CharlieFader Great cover beautifully played. I noticed the fill change too. I thought it was a little 4 stroke ruff in the original
yess

Amazing, do You have drum sheets for this song ?
This is such a sexy song man.
Cool cover, but was it necessary to censor the word marijuana?
I didn’t, it was unfortunately already censored in the multitrack files. 😕
Are there any Japanese?
what mic do you have on that snare
3 mics. Audix i5 and Sontronics DM-1S on top. Behringer C-2 underneath.
Good job man
I’m a singer guitarist, let me know if you’re interested on collaboration. Cheers
