I remember watching every Niclas nannestad match on armwars. Trying to emulate his low-hand toproll lol. He, alongside with Frode Haugland, represent Armwars; they are the icons/faces of it. An absolute legend, so good to see him back. And the silver bullet match went the best way possible. Nannestad’s always entertaining. As for Mindaugis- props for always punching above his weight, always challenging himself. An Armwars staple for sure. I’d like to see him against Janis, Hale, and i believe i saw Frode back there 😳. Mindaugus is so good, its insane. To come back from a losing position, with the buckle… sheesh Ik how tall Niklas is, but not mindaugis. Maybe next time, you guys can include stats/metrics of the competitors: height, weight, arm length, etc. like old armwars.
Ever since learning that Mindaugus is the biggest cee u next tuesday,, I've been a big fan. His talking at the beginning of the match was hilarious. Seeing him pull so well is awesome! Great match!
This content is gold. It is unfortunate that it will never get the recognition it deserves. RIP Armwrestling the way it was. Now, all it takes is a TikTok account, A persona "character" and some noobs for you to crush as an actual Armwrestler....BOOM. Viral content that trumps all other content.....because the Algorithim says so. LMAO. So sad. Thanks for sharing this amazing content Neil.
That was a great match. Seems like i think that every week when a match is released. Mindaugas stayed calm that last round. I thought he was gettin pinned.
Thoughts as I watch the match: Oh, it's a buckle-match lol. Only just realised right before the go on the 4th round. So my prediction would be that Niklas wins, except in Arm Wars, they flip for the silver bullet round, so that coin flip then essentially decides who wins, so in that case the win would not go to Niklas like it usually would. For real buckle-matches, they're the only matches where I feel a tie is a better result. Maybe if Mindaugas went for a hook... though that is unlikely to work since set-ups in armwrestling seem to really favour the toproller with getting into position, and he's up against Niklas of all people. If Mindaugas is tiring faster and doesn't think he has a real chance of winning the 5th round with the buckle, or temporarily getting into a good position, then I wonder if it would be best to concede the entire 5th round without trying, and then have more energy for the rounds he can actually win. Okay after watching the 5th round, I don't think that loss took much out of Mindaugas anyway lol. I would think Niklas would want to have less loading pressure in the set-up, but I suppose not. That would make SPEED alone a lot more important, which is not the only component to a big hit. I wonder if it would have been a good idea for Mindaugas to hold off on the pins when he doesn't have the buckle, to try and wear down Niklas more, so as he is maybe less impossible to beat when Niklas doesn't have the buckle (while trying to make Niklas think he might still be in the match). Oh Mindaugas literally does that in the next round (6th). Can't really blame Niklas when the next round is decided by a literal coin flip. But then if he uses TOO much energy he might lose the next round either way. But I doubt that (if he doesn't get the buckle). lol Mindaugas "what about the coin toss?". Oh shit Mindaugas loses the coin toss. Coach Ray talking about hooking lol. Might as well. But then he might think that maybe there's enough wear on Niklas from the last round. Wow. Mindaugas wins it. Looks like there was just enough wear on the arm. Cool to see Niklas go for the press. What an awesome match! I suppose things can turn around when it's not just a typical buckle-toproll match... because in this situation there is a hit vs arm-power dynamic ALSO at play, which means once the hit becomes diminished enough, the buckle can cease to be the determining factor. I didn't really think the hit would wear down enough. Edit: Okay I really like the coin flip for the silver bullet round now actually, since if the buckle is affecting the match, it means both of them will actually try on on the 6th round, as opposed to someone just conceding that round and then putting their energy and effort into the silver bullet round instead. Because maybe they will get the buckle again, so you should probably start trying on the 6th round. Although if there's just no hope in hell of winning the 6th round with the buckle, then it would still maybe be best to concede and then pray to the coin gods to see if you will win the silver bullet round or not.
That’s the plan mate - nobody knows any of the IRON HOUSE 2 Matches apart from the few JM which have appeared on one of our Stingers / Teasers. Stay Strong 💪🏼 Be Stoic 🤨☝️🎥🍿🔥
@@adamhastie5718 painstakingly watched back in slo-mo ..they were going at "Re..." as soon as the ref raise his hands. In round 5,6 however they went even before the R of ready go. Maybe better to just keep GO or lift the hands when he reaches go. I think Nalstad had the jump in most rounds.
Great match! I wonder a bit if The Steel Giraffe was unlucky that Mindaugas wasn’t getting any elbow fouls on some of those slips. Several were very questionable. Looked like the elbow raised in attempt to force the slip a lot of times
Absolutely 🔥 match up!!! Both guys are exceptional in every way when it comes to armwrestling. Great, great match up Neil!!! So exciting to see the steel giraffe back on the scene. Congrats to Nannestad for an amazing re-introduction to the armwars series. And congrats to Minde for a huge victory. All that being said, I’m still at a loss when these “the buckle matters” matches happen. I’ve been pulling for 20 years and I still don’t get it.
This matters the most in a toproll mirror match. The buckle when tightened causes the webbing of the guy with it to be ever so slightly lower. You can never completely get rid of it. Its not as relevant in an inside match. In addition, a properly applied strap is as close to the thumb as possible, If it is close to the middle of the back of the hand or god forbid the knuckles it stops your ability to use your hand. The strap benefits the guy with the smaller hand and shorter arm more. Tall lanky toprollers do not want the strap for a high posting toproll. The shorter arm smaller hand guy does not have to use his fingers which are at a leverage disadvantage to contain, its a losing proposition. The strap binds you to the other guy and does the work of containment for you by forcing you together.
How can Mindaugas be so affected by being on the wrong side of the strap? You would think a guy as elite as him would figure it out by now. He’s lucky he pulled off that last round. Great match
I answered above replying to justin joyce. Mindaugus has a genetic leverage disadvantage made worse by the buckle. The strap overall benefits him which is why he asked every round.
Great match, the only thing I am not a fan of is the lack of "yellow" light warning for "Ready go"... Ref just blurts it out almost randomly while saying "wrist wrist wrist"... I think, there' needs to be some sort of pause before "go".. not just readygo in 1 word.

The buckle doesn't lie.
Couple warriors right there. Awesomeness from both pullers! 💓
Awesome match ! The amount of respect those guys are showing each other is great, too.
This match was soooo close. Awesome from both guys.
insane supermatch. woooow. did it again Mr. Neil Pickup! incredible match up.

I really thought the buckle was gonna decide this one. Nice surprise in the silver bullet round.
A technical error in the end, but it was an amazing match! Sweden is proud!
