I remember Troy Palamalu, coming from out of the camera frame to tackle a WR from ten miles away. This has a similar vibe, as it seems like the guys he's tackling are gong in slow motion while he's coming from another country. It's uncanny.
His pursuit angles are great. First thing I noticed watching these clips. He also seems to have excellent balance and quick feet
I remember when I first seen this clip. I didn't know who it was and I thought it was absolutely INSANE. Then I found out we drafted this guy! 🤯

I’ve heard that there’s one play where he was clocked at 23.7 mph while chasing down and tackles the receiver. 😮 Super speed burst 💥!
I saw a play where it was 23.4 on the GPS, That's insane top end speed. I don't know of any current receiver who has been clocked that fast. Not that there isn't, Just I haven't heard of it.
That boy can move!! Hope he can handle the bigger backs and receivers in the NFL. He will definitely be able to catch them. With his knee history, you'd think he would wear kneepads! If he can cover well, he could play nickel or anywhere in the defensive backfield. He will be a stud if he stays healthy. Thanks again Alex!!
Purely as a fan looking up highlights of every player we drafted, his speed and pursuit was the first thing I noticed and just cannont be ignored, love this draft pick
It could be just me, but out of all the guys we drafted in 2024, this is the guy I'll be looking for the most. I hope he proves me right and gets on the field often.

I remember thinking his 4.43 speed at the combine was a bad day for him. And this video shows it. This is unreal speed. Give him another forty try, he's easily in the 4.3's.
His RAS speed numbers are basically the same as Shazier. Maybe a little better depending on which metric you prefer.

I don't think it's a question of IF Payton Wilson will eventually be a force on our defense, but a question of WHEN. Will he get on the field right away or will he be held back a bit at first? It's hard to know at this point, but keep your eye on this player. That's all I'm saying.

Holcomb still recovering from his knee surgery. He probably won't be in the mix out of the gate. I expect Queen and Roberts to start the year. Maybe Wilson plays in some nickel packages. Just going to have to gauge things in camp.
How big a role do you think Elandon Roberts will have this year?
Roberts will be the week 1 starter next to Queen.
Robert’s is needed on run downs still but Wilson will get reps because he’s kinda like Swiss Army knife
