Oh so great to see Harlech castle again. I'm 83 and living out of the UK.
As a small girl from 1945 until I was 14, we went every year for 2 weeks holiday, it took most of the day on trains to get there. The train driver from Barmouth to Harlech station knew my dad, and used to send his mate down the train to give us tin mugs of hot strong tea.
When I visited the castle itt took several goes to climb up to walk the top walls as my little legs used to give way at the top of the narrow stairs. The castle has changed a bit with a lot of commercial things. I guess to bring in funds for the village and Harlech Castle.Lovely views especially if you visit nearby the hill just outside the village which people photograph the castle from.
