I-20 is definitely an interesting road. Much of it in DFW is pretty wide and open, almost like a rural freeway, even in suburban areas like Duncanville and Arlington. The exception would have to be the section in south Fort Worth and Forest Hill, from Anglin Drive (just west of the eastern leg of 820) to the Chisholm Trail Parkway; although still 8 lanes, this section has a much more "urban" feel and a narrower right-of-way. That said, large sections of I-20 in DFW could use lighting additions. For a wide freeway (right-of-way wise) like this, high masts would work great from I-45 to US-67, and again from Belt Line Road over to the East Loop 820 interchange in Fort Worth (with the obvious exception of the area near the Arlington Municipal Airport, the area where the mainlanes split west of Spur 408 could use "regular" lighting to protect the scenic value of the "mountain" there).
@@MaxTheRealmTC_3421 No, but it only makes sense to run it out there given it's the trailing end of the greater DFW Metroplex area.. Terrell would have been a good starting point on the other side..
