If you brought your backpacking gear, I can suggest a 2-3 day trip on your way up to Denali or on the way back. It's in Kluane National Park in the Yukon. Slims river west trail. You hike one day along the river to a designated campsite, then the next day hike up to an area you can view or walk on a spectacular glacier. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but you have to take a bear canister which I think the park provides, as you are hiking in grizzly country.
Totally never heard of a wooden spoon besides the little ones with the ice cream I got as a kid lol. Loving the trip!

It wasn't too bad w/ the dog. Just needed to show rabies vaccination. Luckily, they don't make dogs get a passport!
