Amazing video! Reminds me alittlebit of the dutch tool chests for carpenters. I build one for my own woodworking tools, it works great.

Love this video! Have you thought of doing more 18th Dutch sailor material? My interest was peeks when you mentioned the VOC branded chests

Also how far do the branded chests for officers go? Was it only 18th century or also 17th century?

maybe sometime in the future, we don't get much 18th century events in the Netherlands as good as non, so its not a priority for us at this time.

I believe it is also mentioned in one of the books by Herman Ketting listed in my sources that they go back into the 17th century.
Most of my sources are in Dutch so i dont know if that helps.

You should most definitely do videos on each of those topics you talked about in the beginning

I am planning on doing some of those but it wil take alot of research.
Im already working on a video about swords during the late 16th and early 17th century.

I really love this video!! trying to make a flemish privateer from the 1690's, not all but a lot of what you say or show helps me in my work (the PDF with all the paintings you sent me some months ago helps a lot as well, I'll never be able to thank you enough for this!). And I need your help once more, I can't find anywhere any decent earthen tankard with a pewter lid such as the one you have, would you have some addresses of where I could find similar ones? (and please, keep on doing these sorts of video, this is the stuff I tend to watch several times, each time memorizing something more!)

Sadly my jug has a lucky one of kind etsy find. For earthenware you could check out "atelier able" he does not provide lids but i have heard good things about his word.
You might also be able to find things around the German city of Frechen i have seen beardman jugs with lids from there.
