I know you've heard it before so this is old news, just humor me though! I've always had a jealous streak when it came to natural red hair. I'm a brunette. You have such a beautiful hair color! You can clearly see the gradients from darker to the lightest of strawberry blonde. Simply gorgeous. Ok, thanks for listening on about that. Now, I've cut my daughter's hair since her very first haircut and she'll be 9 in October. This is also the first time I've ever looked on TH-cam for a bang cutting tutorial. I've always hated that I cut her bangs too far back towards the crown and after watching you cut yours, I'm going to go ahead and do this.. I'm going to start pulling more hair back towards the crown away from the front of her forehead so she has a more narrow strip of bangs instead of most of the front of her hair being bangs. Her hair is long, just above the small of her back and she's always had bangs, I've always had bangs and I'm pressing 50! So, we'll have some uneven bangs for a very long time.. short and long pieces, but I think she's willing to keep clippies in her hair to keep those awkwardly longer pieces from falling forward into her bangs until they grow out long enough that the sweep to either side on their own. OK.. long post. Talk about talking too much! haha... thanks for the video, Dear. You did a great job!

I always screw my bangs up and get that "gappy" look every time I cut them so I youtubed how to cut bangs and yours was the first video. I watched the video, then went into the bathroom and tried it out. They came out very cute, straight, and symmetrical, just like a professional cut. The trick was in cutting up into them rather than straight across. As I was doing that, like you demonstrated in the video I realized I remember countless times, watching the hair stylists do it that way, but I guess it just never stuck. Thank you so much!

Ok the technique is called point cutting and it is used to add texture. You are suppose to cut blunt an inch below where you want them to fall then use point cutting to add texture and remove weight from the ends. That is only if you want more feathery ends
i have bangs and im growing them out.u can try on false bangs ;) u do a ponytail in the crown part and put them like bangs pu a bobby pin and unce they look without cutting if u dont understqnd me , just search false bangs on youtube . ^^

Sara Alonso Having an oily forehead will probably make your bangs pretty oily, and may make your forehead oilier too. So I would probably vote again getting them then.

Sara Alonso For future reference, since you're keeping your hair the same for now, I found that I'd break out with really thick bangs, but if you do whispy bangs that helps a lot. Best of both worlds! I still opt for bangs, but I suppose I'm not super oily.

I really like how you turn more into a professional, from here to the last video, It even feels more confident in the last one, when you're cutting your hair. I like this first video, you explain enough about the wide and thickness of the bangs. On the second one, direct to the point and a little bit of explanation, what is great ! I'm dying to cut my own bangs now. The last time I had fringes I was too young and it was a mom's idea (furthermore, the hairdresser style as well). Since then I don't want to know anything about bangs... thank you for getting back the confident I need it on my next haircut :-) !

This was super helpful - thank you for putting this tutorial together! I like the face framing look with the graduating bang length out toward the sides. The step where you bring half the bangs (and the longer side piece) to the opposite side and then cut is a simple but brilliant step.

bangs can be for everyone, you just have to find the style of bangs that fit you
the only time bangs can look bad on you is if you have a small forehead or you have a wide or chubby face

im sooo scared to cut bangs in but I really like what you have done woth yours. I know hair grows back but it takes an awful long time and I dont want to mess up. I will try this when I'm less tired. I really do want bangs so my buns are less severe.

She gave me way too short (above eyebrows!) bowl-cut bangs, instead.

You are divinely gorgeous - "kissed by fire" - if you don't already know this; you really should be a model - an agency would snap you up in a red-hot minute! Incredible eye-brow arch - beautiful doe-like wide-set eyes (just like Kate Moss!) and that rich auburn autumnal hair - you're a star in the making! - don't let anyone on here tell you any different! They may judge you based on ignorance or their idea of 'status-quo' - ignore the haters! You're above and beyond the status-quo! ....

I've been following the two videos for a while... I really like how you turn more into a professional, from here to the last video, It even feels more confident in the last one, when you're cutting your hair. I like this first video, you explain enough about the wide and thickness of the bangs. On the second one, direct to the point and a little bit of explanation, what is great ! I'm dying to cut my own bangs now. The last time I had fringes I was too young and it was a mom's idea (furthermore, the hairdresser style as well). Since then I don't want to know anything about bangs... thank you for getting back the confident I need it on my next haircut :-) !

This was super helpful - thank you for putting this tutorial together! I like the face framing look with the graduating bang length out toward the sides. The step where you bring half the bangs (and the longer side piece) to the opposite side and then cut is a simple but brilliant step.

Haha barbie hair is different so just because you butchered that, doesn't mean you couldn't do a good job on a person. I love barbies and cutting hair so this comment made me laugh. I use to cut my barbies hair all the time when I was little and it always stuck straight out! :)
