Tower is at LEAST a 9. The theming is immaculate and the randomization makes it a different ride each time which is rare. I used to be so scared of it but now I appreciate the tech and story used in it!
My first time riding the Aerosmith coaster I was literally shaking with fear while in the line cause I saw how fast it went…but after riding I wanted to do it again !! 😂
@@MichaelRei99 true. I think parks like cedar point and Hersheypark have way better coasters, rocknroller is very calm compared to storm runner and top thrill dragster

Haha, my first time I didn’t expect it to start that fast, my eye glasses literally dropped to my laps, good thing it didn’t drop to the rail otherwise the day would be ruined!
Tower of Terror has been my favourite ride since 1995. The theming is the exceptional and the ride relies on gravity to terrify you. It's simple and perfect. I just hope they leave it alone and don't change it to a Guardians because that would ruin it.
My all-time favorite ride as well! Neither Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind or Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure could knock it off its throne for me. I have heard from cast members that there is no way they will ever change Tower of Terror to Guardians.
I wouldn’t be against them building a guardians drop ride in another park maybe animal kingdom instead of retheming the most iconic ride in Hollywood studios. But if they change tower of terror it’ll be terrible and I would be very upset 😂.
@@dcelite221 thank you for correcting the original poster. Gravity acceleration is 9.81 m/s^2. Tower of Terror routinely pulls close to 13.0 m/s^2 (1.3G) with drop speeds maxing out at 39 mph.
Like others have pointed out, it actually DOESN’T rely on gravity. The vehicle you’re in has one cable on top and bottom that pull you up and down. Gravity was too slow.
Tower of Terror and Star Tours seem to be a little low imo. With so many rides getting the same rating, I'd be interested in seeing an actual ranking - like from best to worst. Not all 8/10s are created equal lol. Fun video - keep up the great work!
Toy Story Land 1. Alian Swirling Saucers (6/10) 2. Slinky Dog Dash (8/10) (Love this one though It's so cute, personally 10/10) 3. Toy Story Mania (8/10) STAR WARS: Galaxy's Edge 1. Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run (7/10) 2. Rise Of The Resistance (9.5/10) (Personally I would have given it a 10/10 or 9.9/10) Hollywood Boulevard and Echo Lake 1. Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway (8/10) (Don't come at me!!! I personally like this ride more than the old one, and would give it 10/10) 2. Star Tours: The adventure Continues (6.5/10) Sunset Boulevard 1. Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (8/10) (Again 10/10 for me) 2. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (8/10) (As Rock n' Coaster, Rise, Mickey's and Minnie's, and Slinky, 10/10 for sure!)
The Rise line moved pretty quickly for me when I went this past Sunday. Went to it first thing when the park opened at 8:30, no early entry, and we got through the line in less than an hour! I'm not sure what may have changed from previous times I've gone, but the line moved super quickly.
Poor Goofy... getting blamed for breaking the track switch on Runaway Railway when it's actually Mickey that breaks it. Who gave that mouse a driver's license?
We just had a Disney world trip, the only rides we rode more than once were Smugglers Run (dad was like an excited child when we got to be pilots) which we rode twice, and Star Tours, I think we rode it 4 times. The line was always so short, and who was I to deny my dad his Star Wars fun, also seeing all the different scenes was cool, we had no idea it would change between rides.
We're going to Hollywood Studios in the first week of January. It'll be our first time at a Disney part in at least 10 years. These videos are SO helpful in planning exactly what we want to do. Thank you!
Tower of Terror is a classic for me, probably still my favorite ride on the entire property, but I forgot how awesome Rock and Roller Coaster is, and both new Star Wars rides were fantastic. Basically the only thing I don't love about this park is that it can feel much more crowded than the other parks, and it feels like Toy Story Land has NO shade whatsoever and can be downright harsh. Definitely bring that water bottle and a cooling towel!
ANOTHER THING ABOUT SMUGGLERS RUN THAT WAS NOT MENTIONED: Me and my boyfriend went for the first time last October, and I didn’t know Smugglers run was a game type experience, I thought it was a ride. My boyfriend gets motion sick really easy when it comes to screens, and felt sick for a good hour or so after words. So, if you get motion sick easy with screens, don’t do Smuggler Run.
Rise of the Resistance was awesome! But the worker at the front of the line tried to dissuade us from riding by telling us it was a 5 hour wait! We couldn’t believe the audacity of him lying to our face like that and we got in line anyway. It was a 90 minute wait but nothing nearly as bad as he was trying to make it.
Tower of Terror choked me when I was a kid so I'm not really the biggest fan of it 😅 even as an adult I find myself enjoying the tamer rides. This was a really nice ranking video!
And even when it’s not broken down, some times the final Kylo Ren animatronic breaks and they sub in an alternate ending so it’s really a ton of tech on that ride
Going for my 16th birthday it seems like so much work nowadays to go and we have to figure out how to use this Genie plus thing. But I’m sure it will all work out.
Huh...I just had a dream last night about teaching my family how to navigate Hollywood Studios XD I was teaching them about early theme park entry and to not hit up Alien Swirling Saucers first lol Thanks for the tips DFB crew!
Question: To guarantee going on the Ride of the Resistance. (the only ride my 10 yr old granddaughter has to go on) ( Nana too) I should just pay the $20 and be done with it?? We are going to the park twice while there.
I had kinda same thought. Was on it twice -once a pilot and once I think I was a gunner. If you aren’t one of the pilots you just push a button and you can’t see as good because you are behind the pilots. If you’re in back you are then trying to see around four people. And the ride isn’t very long
I cant believe she just blamed my boy Goofy for hitting the track switch sending us on the crazy adventure in Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway. It was Mickey with his crazy driving.
little tip: if you have family with small children, i suggest (if you get to the park at early entry) to go on slinky dog dash first. it's only a short wait depending on the time you get there. last time i went, it was only a 30 minute wait, which is short for slinky!
We were there in early June, and thank goodness we made it on "Rise" during the 1st of 2 HS days we had planned....we had a DAS pass to ride it again on our 2nd day, and Rise was down basically the entire day! Hopefully, over time, they improve the reliability.....given it is a big selling point for many people to go to HS....and lives up to the hype!
There’s something like 20 fail points on the ride lol that’s why in the future I don’t think they’ll be doing such elaborate ride queues… one thing goes down and the rest of the ride has to wait. Just awful, especially in comparison to a roller coaster that only has a couple fail points, only holding the wait queue back by a single or couple failed cars.
@@himynameiscorey After our initial ride, I commented to my wife about the unbelievable intricacies that make up the ride....and no wonder it seems to be down a lot!
Was able to ride Rise on 3 different trips, 2 times did virtual queue (before Genie was in place). Last time waited 75 minutes in regular queue cause my husband just had to ride it again. Very lucky that it didn't break down . Great ride

So Star tours: I’ve had the same splat on the window so that is an actual sequence lol. I know you knew that and just added that bit for fun but thought I’d say it
Fun fact, Rock'n' rollercoaster was actually my first rollercoaster ever. My boyfriend made me do it. And so whenever someone brings it up, i always have a good laugh.

Been to Disney once before, when I was like three, only really remember the mickey ears headband, and the tower of terror, where I almost pissed myself, the picture it took had me like three feet in the air because I was so small the restraints barely fit, my eyes and mouth were wide open, so scared, and my dad was trying to hold me down. Great memory, excited to ride again.
We had our first trip to disneyworld in July, Tower of Terror was our absolute favourite ride (just pipping Flight of Passage to the post), loved everything about it. My daughter and I almost died of fright the first time but rode it another 4 times! Definitely a 10/10 from us!
I go on roller coasters all the time. I love Tower of Terror and the Hogwarts ride at Universal made me only slightly uncomfortable. I've never gotten more sick on a ride than on Star Tours. I really thought I was going to hurl, and my sister and I spent the next hour in the Backlot Express feeling nauseous and awful.

When I went to WDW we went to Hollywood studios and Star Wars star tour was one of the first rides we went on and there was no line! I really think that it is a great ride.
LOVED M&M’s Runaway Railway…. I said when we came out that it was like being inside a classic cartoon. So fun. Even thrilling, for a ride that you wouldn’t expect much thrill from.
I remember going to Hollywood Studios in June with my high school band, and my band director tried to get on the Rise of the Resistance twice, and it broke down both times.
My first time going to Disney world, we had just gotten off tower of terror and we walked over to rock n roller coaster. The wait was 10 minutes! Was amazing

And I’m going again very soon so I’m very excited to take all the tips I’ve lessened from your videos to get the best experience! ♥️
Yes! And if you go with a group of friends or family up to 6, you can all discuss before riding what roles you all want to do, then they tell you which seat to sit in.
Can anyone explain to me what fresh hell the Star Tours simulator is from? I’m fine in Tough to be a Bug, and love Soarin’ and Mission Space, but Star Tours always leaves me wanting to toss my wookie cookies! 🤢
I hate to say it, but the runaway railway was not nearly as good as I expected. It was cute I suppose, but these new trackless car rides are not my cup of tea. Ratatouille was pretty much the same thing with just a different story line. Both ratatouille and runaway had cool visuals, but didn’t really feel like much of a “ride.” With that said, rise of the resistance is phenomenal and executed perfectly (despite it being broken the majority of the day)….And I’m MUCH more of a Mickey fan than I am a Star Wars fan.
Seriously? Did you actually ride it? The special effects were fantastic, it's not a thrill ride. After riding all the thrill rides we went on that one right before the park closed, well worth it. To be honest I was skeptical about it and the only reason we got on it was because the park was about to close and the ride had no line. We figured why not, was actually pleasantly surprised with the ride and it was a nice way to end the evening at Hollywood Studios.
@@ScottShedd123 oh don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, just not as good as I thought it would be. Both felt more or less just like riding around looking at the walls most of the time. I'm just not a huge fan of the trackless system, like if they used the same technology (other than the trackless cars) for rides like peter pan's flight, Winnie the Pooh, or even little mermaid, those would be fantastic (imo) since they all use a somewhat diverse track system. ROTR is in a league of its own though, despite the whole trackless thing lol.
on my first time on rocking rollercoaster i saw a little kid get in to the car but he made up his mind at the last minute that it was too scary and got out his mom probably stood with him in the regular queue line luckily me and my mom got a daws pass so we could skip the lines 😅
My family did 2 separate days here 1 without genie plus and 1 with. The genie plus is worth it for this park. For the day without we only did 3 rides and 1 show, but with we did 6 rides and 3 shows. Definitely well worth the money at Hollywood studios
personaly i think toy story land was the perfect opertunity to add a more thrilling ride to walt disney world, a gerstlauer infinity coaster would look great themed to a knex roller coaster
Hand raised! I usd to laugh (to myself) at the people who knocked themselves out getting a FastPass for Toy Story first thing in the morning, while I just walked on...
For Toy Story Land we always get the fastpass/lightning lane for Slinky Dog Dash because too much sun on the line. Then we wait on line for Toy Story Mania because air conditioning and fun queue theming.
I wish I could put the pic of my grandson, (6), on here it’s his 2nd time around and it’s pure terror! And it’s Rockin roller coaster, not Tower of Terror.
for ROTR I cannot express this enough please take off your hats/ears because the moment they touch the floor it'll trigger the sensors and the ride shuts off
I didn’t have this experience with ROTR, but on seven dwarfs mine train I had an individual Lightning lane and when the ride had to close for bad weather I was given an updated pass in the app to ride a selection of other rides that same day. This selections included the original ride I paid for in case it came back online too

Do they have a pizza planet that reservations can be made?
DFB Guide, I have a question. Can you ask to be assigned a specific role at the Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run?
Yes! And if you go with a group of friends or family up to 6, you can all discuss before riding what roles you all want to do, then they tell you which seat to sit in.
@@alyssadeakins Thank you very much for the information. Much appreciated
Can u rank the live shows at any disney?
I’m thankful that during my trip in September that it didn’t break down
7:30 the stormtroopers stoped me bc I had a purple lightsaber and said I was a Jedi
on my first time on rocking rollercoaster i saw a little kid get in to the car but he made up his mind at the last minute that it was too scary and got out his mom probably stood with him in the regular queue line luckily me and my mom got a daws pass so we could skip the lines 😅
I’m late but it’s not that the tower of terror is like scary or creepy I just hate when we drop how much my stomach hurts
How much cost the rides
My family did 2 separate days here 1 without genie plus and 1 with. The genie plus is worth it for this park. For the day without we only did 3 rides and 1 show, but with we did 6 rides and 3 shows. Definitely well worth the money at Hollywood studios
personaly i think toy story land was the perfect opertunity to add a more thrilling ride to walt disney world, a gerstlauer infinity coaster would look great themed to a knex roller coaster
At California Adventure, after doing both Toy Story and the new Spiderman ride, your forearms are SPENT!
I remember my first time on Rockin Rollercoaster, my sunglasses got completely smashed inside my cargo shorts pocket.
Tower of Terror and Aerosmith lower than Rise of the Resistance? Agree to disagree there m’am 😭
Rise of the resistance is a masterpiece
Hand raised! I usd to laugh (to myself) at the people who knocked themselves out getting a FastPass for Toy Story first thing in the morning, while I just walked on...
Fun Fact: Steven Tyler (Aerosmith/Rock&Roller Coaster) is the father of Liv Tyler (Arwen/ Lord of the Rings)
For Toy Story Land we always get the fastpass/lightning lane for Slinky Dog Dash because too much sun on the line. Then we wait on line for Toy Story Mania because air conditioning and fun queue theming.
My husband is 79 and loves Tower of Terror
After you do all the park rankings you should do all the shows at WDW!
Aerosmith coaster was my first ever thrill ride when i was a kid
I wish I could put the pic of my grandson, (6), on here it’s his 2nd time around and it’s pure terror! And it’s Rockin roller coaster, not Tower of Terror.
for ROTR I cannot express this enough please take off your hats/ears because the moment they touch the floor it'll trigger the sensors and the ride shuts off
do you have to pay if it breaks doem
I didn’t have this experience with ROTR, but on seven dwarfs mine train I had an individual Lightning lane and when the ride had to close for bad weather I was given an updated pass in the app to ride a selection of other rides that same day. This selections included the original ride I paid for in case it came back online too
@@eliseg0001 Thanks
Here you go nerds -
1. Tower of Terror
2. Rise of Resistance
3. Rockin" Rollercoaster
4. Toy Story Midway Mania
5. Slinky Dog Dash
6. Star Tours
7. Mickey Runaway Railway
8. Millennium falcon smugglers
9. Alien Swirling Saucers
My favorite ride is still Rock n rollercoaster but I love tower of terror...which is also my daughters favorite. I got a pin of stitch riding rockn rollercoaster because I had to have my favorite ride and character together! Lol 😍☺️💞
i was so excited for toy story mania, it was my favorite as a kid, so i hopped in line, and the wait was only supposed to be 15 min, buttt on a 1 day hit all trip, i ended up waste if almost 2 hours on this ride, i was so sad :(
I don’t remember the Toy Story Shooter one being 3D, it’s been years tho. That’s kinda sad cause i actually can’t see 3D and it gives me a bad headache :/
Before watching this video: I hope there are some 10s on this list!!!!
Okay since there was none I will rank this for you.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway - 10!!!
Rise of the Resistance - 10!!!
Tower of Terror - 10!!!
My HS ranking:
#1 ROR best ride at HS #2 Rock N Roller #3 MF SM #4 M&M RR #5 ToT #6 Star Tours #7 SDD #8 TS Mania #9 Alien Saucers
The slinky dog is highly overrated. The intensity in my opinion is even lower than hippogriff in universal. The wait time is like 90min which sounds crazy to me. Would give it 2/10, or just skip it if you don’t have enough time.
It's sad that the rnrc from paris is gone
I’m the biggest Starwars fan and rise of the resistance is perfect but the rock n roller coaster is my favorite ride in Disney
I HATE HOW THEY REPLACED THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE.
Tower of terror was intense loved it, but could only ride it once too scary 🤣
Last time I went to Hollywood Studios, I rode Smugglers Run 2 times, once with my mom and sister, and once with my dad. I rode it twice because before going on Smugglers Run, my dad went on Tower of Terror and wanted a break from rides lol
My dad told me when I was gonna ride rock and roller coaster for the first time that I could say any word but when I rode it I froze
Tower of Terror definitely may fav, as I have not tried the train ride yet
When I went on millennium falcon smugglers run an elderly woman was our engineer and fell asleep during the ride
Gotta ask....what ride at Disneyworld is a 10?
Haunted mansion
