So glad you made it to Brugge, my hometown. Castle Ten Berghe is only 5 minutes away from where I live and I only found out about it through the Chateaux Diaries. But yeh, there are so many chateaux in the neighbourhood. Belgium has most chateaux per square meter in Europe! The medieval Village on the way to the castle is Damme. The straight canals with huge trees were dug out at the time Napoleon ruled. After this vlog I realize again the beauty of the area I live and grew up in. For people looking to buy a chateaux in Belgium: the one of the antique dealer who was in Drew Pritchard's antiques programm when he visited Belgium is for sale!

Oh how wonderful! You helped me relive my beautiful months spent in spectacular Bruges, as a Boutique Hotel manager back in 2011. It truly is one of the prettiest places I've ever lived in and it was incredibly inspiring for me as a writer. Whenever I had a spare moment, I would take pen and paper to the beer garden by the canal, or watch the tango dancers in the ancient fish market, then jot down my thoughts about all the wonder I saw about me. Such a poetic city!

I really liked the introduction to the castle, going down the eerie road was fabulous. I so enjoyed Phillips tour of Maastricht I would like to have a longer Vlog made of it. That was amazing the Roman bridge bridge still under water was amazing. I thought it was lovely coming back to all those guests, Love, life and laughter, that is what it is all about!
This was fabulous and makes me realise my mistake in not taking a holiday to Europe, you just don't see enough when you're there for work. That separation in the chapel brings back memories of the times when the noble family owning the castle were up in the balcony and all the servants were down on the floor of the chapel. I'd say they must have had a solar or something similar in the suite back then.
