Played at the 7th inning stretch at every St. Louis Cardinals home game. It's also played on opening day when the Clydesdales parade around Busch Stadium.
I was going insane! Losing my mind over a vision in my head I could not get rid of! My wife and family left me! I was near the end...until I saw this Bud commercial and then Howard K Smith on the news talking about a rail disaster near Devil's Tower in Moorcroft, Wyoming. Needless to say I made the cross country trip from Muncie, Indiana to Moorcroft and boarded an alien craft leaving Earth. 12 lights years away, I'm now a bartender tending bar at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley, Tatooine in the outer rim territory! As usual we have our local band 'Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes' playing their daily set when a Jedi Knight with a Wookie from Kayshyyyk by his side just cut off a Walrus Man's arm and I witnessed it live. What a Universe indeed! Amazing how a Budweiser commercial on Earth led me to tending bar 12 light years away! Here comes the King indeed! 🍺🍺🍺
Very perceptive! I was given a few tips by the current Cardinals organist, Dwayne Hilton, on how he plays the song at the games (organ setup, tempo etc.). He leads group organ classes where I bought the organ.
Beautiful! I'm a hack organ player from Boston but I visited St Louis once. I found the people there to be among the friendliest I have ever met. And this is their theme song. Ernie Hayes was the best!
HERE COMES THE KING! -Budweiser 🎵Here comes the King, here comes the big Number One! Budweiser beer, the king is second to none. Just say Budweiser, You've said it all. Here comes the King of Beers so lift your glass let's hear the call! Budweiser beer's the one that's leading the rest, And beechwood aging makes it beer at its best. One taste 'll tell you, So loud and clear. There's only one Budweiser beer (there's only one Budweiser beer) Here comes the King, here comes the big Number One! Budweiser beer, the king is second to none. Just say Budweiser, You've said it all. Here comes the King of Beers so lift your glass let's hear the call. When you say Bud there's nothing left you can say (when you say Bud). When you say Bud, the King is right on his way (when you say Bud). The King is coming, Let's hear the call, When you say Bud you've said it all!🎵
I wonder how many youngsters even realizes that this song has lyrics? I'm old enough to remember the original commercial with the lady singing. I'm not sure if this is the original lady or not but it's a good version. th-cam.com/video/_6hV9we_3E0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=THCKpNELgvV5fPK8
Glad I could help. If you have a Lowrey organ, use the Happy Polka rhythm and general preset 3, tempo 116, transpose up to E flat. Use AOC if you like.
Ernie Hays would be proud. Nothing brings back memories of being a kid at Old Busch like this tune.
my heart lives in st.louis, and st. louis lives in my heart.
Now picture a group of stunning clydesdales trotting in a beautiful formation! 🥰
The unofficial name of this should be the Clydesdale march.
Need this as a ringtone.....
This tune ALWAYS makes me want a BUDWEISER.
(Well! I was born in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.)

Ernie Hays would be impressed! Your playing has that classic 'Busch Stadium' feel

When I travel d to Busch Stadium . I loved hearing and seeing the BudWeiiser Clyde’s Dale Horses. What a thrill.

I'm a Cubs fan, but I'm going to Busch Stadium for a Cardinals game and I'm looking forward to hearing this.
This reminds me of my youth in the St Louis area. But, I am glad it don't live there anymore.

I see the Clydesdale on a snowy street, passing a house with a wreath on the front door.

You can take me out of St. Louis, but you will NEVER take St. Louis outta me

I'm thinking of games 3, 4 & 5 of the 1987 World Series
Im a Lightning fan, but its cool the Blues play it too like the Cards, or at least used to.
They still do every once in a while, but the Blues have their own traditions too.
For the Lou!
Perfect for BASEBALL

What happened to Boyer….. I thought he took the place of Ernie Hayes, but thought I saw him playing for the White Sox.
He still does. He and Hilton play half of the games.
; )
Don't seem the same after. AB went woke.
Ahhhhhhh.....still does seem the same, great.
