- With excitement in his voice Wes Mac shows us his incredible 1988 8 Door Dodge Family Wagon Van that he has made his own custom. How he made his own 4 flairs and front spoiler are featured in this video. Some great ideas here. Even a drone landing pad on top for JJLightning's drone. My oldest brother bought a new white Dodge Tradesman 318 in '74. I was 12 years old & worked with him customizing it, parkway windows, Craig 8 track quad stereo, CB with a whip antenna, slotted aluminum mags, green shag, icebox, fake polar bear fur headliner, paneling on the walls. So much more.. Great hobby & fun I had working with big brother as a kid..Love them Dodge vans. Great video nice van you got there..✅

I was thinking about building one for fun. I just have to find a van and parts to do it.
It is beautiful. But I hope you install headrests when you drive. Everybody these days is texting when driving or playing with multimedia screens. You will get a whiplash when someone rear-ends you.

He never mentions the fact that his van has "8 doors". Maybe he does not know how rare this is on a Mid Dodge van. I have only ever seen pics of one other.
Out of curiosity when ur 318 I'd at normal operating Temps with engine idling in gear how many pds oil pressure does your van engine hold and what is it cold start at idle in gear before it reached normal operating temperature
Usually the Gage reads high when cold and drops as it warms up.

Love ur van I lubked up in demascus Virginia an found a 1983 dodge Zimmer tradesman the 250 series unmolested with documented 83 thousand factory miles 318 VA 3 speed auto trans I did A THING LOL YES IM GOING TO CATCH ALOT OF FUSS BUT I GUTTED ALL THE INTERIOR AN NIW ITS FUKLY OFF GRID solar on roof 6000 watt pure sinewsve inverter full size memory foam bed 32 in smart TV diesel parking heater for heat mini fridge with freezer hand built cabinets an hand built hardwood counter tops drop in 15in by 15 in stainless steel sink 2 burner drop in counter top stove microwave hardwood floors wall built behind front seats to create a feel of a room in back instead of a cool van 4 inferred night vision cameras on top one on each side see everything even if it pitch black out 30 gallon fresh water tank under bed 12 volt marina preasure senseless pumps propane operated on demand hot water shower system I'm now working on building a in van shower instead of a pop up shower tent it not safe using a shower tent in slot of places I go a,trap door will be cut in hardwood floor an metal factory floor in van trimmed out edged in rubber stripping do u don't cut ur legs it will have a box like collapsible insert u will stick thru floor that will go fron even with floor to ground so people can't see ur feet an legs unde van lol plus it will serve as a cold winter wind barrier in winter showering stend in hole on ground in grip flops shower inside a halo type shower ring an curtain I'm building its roughly 2 ft in diameter itcwill hang from 3 hooks in ceiling when done step out get halo ring an shower curtain store under bed pull out the collapsible box like metal insert it will be all corners on hinged so it will collapse flat and also store under bed I've got USB outlets all through the van I'm using 6 105 Amp hour lead acid deep cycle marina batteries to power inverter like I said I have solar on top and I've got the house batteries wired with heavyc4 Guage wire to battery up front and on a trip switch so when using house batteries I can disconnect from engine starting batterie I'll never need a jump start lol I'm going yo pull glass out an save it to put bk in during winter months buy in right rear door install a 5000 btu ac in window 500 watts of solar an my Inverter will carry the load for approximately 6 to 8 hrs I wish I had done way of sharing pics sn videos of my van build with you do you have a face book account if do would you mind telling me what it's listed under I'll send you a friend request an we can share pics there's no real true van clubs here in Tazewell Virginia thats home bade but I live in van most of my time just traveling I'm originally from Pasadena Texas
