I actually like when bands don't sound like the album. These live versions sound BETTER than the album! They've switched up subtle things, and are having fun with it. You can't bottle or can live energy!
Take it to the bridge throw it over board see if it can swim back up to the shore no ones in the house everyone is out all the lights are on and the blinds are down
One of my fave Squeeze tracks Glenn Tilbrook what a voice
WOW Glen every live video Ive watched you nail the vocals!! yes he nails the vocals! :)
What a great arrangement and performance, especially with that clever nod to Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" at 3:20 here.
Seen the band twice and Glenn solo once, always brilliant
Absolutely love Glenn & Chris but Paul Carrack has a voice that just melts your heart 💕 x
i met this band with Hourglass in 1988
Back when bands could actually play live and still sound like the album.
*eye roll *

Seems like 100 years ago
Love this song
This show was on Friday July 15th 1994 at the Phoenix Festival in the UK.
Seen them at the Hammersmith odeon 1977 brilliant
Paul Carrack back there playing the hammond organ.
Obviously, James..but are sure that's a Hammond? If it is, its a portable version..nothing like the real thing.
@@chipgaasche4933 Korg BX3. By far the best clone back then, especially through a Leslie.
@@j1thom none of the clones were as good as a B-3. Besides, everything sounded good through a Leslie.
@@chipgaasche4933 Never said they were...
@@j1thom I never said you said they were!
Nice little nod to Cream in that solo!
Meanwhile, Squeeze speeds up Hourglass to induce induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame..
It is Andy Newmark, how relaxed we all look and sound...fantasic clip
Such a great drummer.
Beatles, Beach Boys, Squeeze...all mentioned in the same breath...you guys were at least a decade too late...thanks for the notes and words...
What a voice!
Great leads, great sounding band
The test of any great band: are they just as good or better live than recorded? And Squeeze are, in spades.
This is Phoenix Festival
Great Band..
Great performance ‼️
Great live video, but what happened with the sax?
Take it to the bridge throw it over board see if it can swim back up to the shore no ones in the house everyone is out all the lights are on and the blinds are down
Yes, we know, Rob.
@@chipgaasche4933 😁
of course, you need a Telecaster to get that twangy sound ;-)
Tight!!
Pete Thomas + Paul C... must be the Some Fantastic Place era.
Better live!
Full speed version.
Classic Squeeze, so why is Wet Wet Wet quoted above?
It is Mr Newmark.
Julian Lennon -- Are you watching this right now....... Definitely sounds like YOU and that's a compliment.
sings like a God damn bird
It is the "phoenix" festival unfortunatly it does not run anymore.
1994 apparently.
Wow...no keyboards????
No keyboards??? There's at least two.
*1994
I don't hear keyboards
Paul Carrack is on them again here...
natele i grfba
I love their records and have seen them several times. They were accurate but surprisingly lacked energy.
