Man, R2 was popping off! As N3sh would say, "lock da fuk in!" I hope you guys liked the overlay of the Houndhorde/Revenants onto the activating "Vendread" monster to show which effect it was using! I did that last time as well when we featured Vendreads on the channel. EDIT: Ozempic is my favorite Paleozoic. Maybe a bit more than Tuberculosis.
Dam that bendread player outresourced a paleo with GRASS T_T Im so proud being a bendread player. The moment he resolved reunion with Executor in hand I knew the guy was cooked.
Funny thing about vendreads is that their greatest weakness is their low consistency, second is the relative bulk of their engine. If they don't have to pay the Maxx "C" tax, and can get their plays off, then the Vengeful One can switch between raw power and grind game at a moments notice, and they can appear nigh unstoppable. I don't often run Vendread Reunion. You can, but you have to set up everything to get the card to work, whereas I'd rather have cards that work immediately. However, I have done that Reunion -> Executor play myself. If I'm not forced otherwise, I use it either during the battle phase or the end phase. That moment of silence when your opponent is reading all of those cards, slowly coming to realize how bad their day is about to become... pure bliss. To put it into perspective, the Paleo player was facing a monster that: Grants global targeting immunity to all cards you control Has destruction protection from Origin + Mazera in the GY, requiring you to "destroy" it up to 5 times to out it Quick effect to banish a special summoned monster Quick effect to banish 1 spell/trap 3000 attack If Vendread Nights is on the field, can attack all monsters once each If destroyed, searches for any vendread card. The banishing ramps up the pressure quite fast. Reunion on your opponents turn, banish 2 cards. Your turn, banish 2 more cards. Your opponent turn again, banish 2 more cards. By the time your opponent gets a chance to do something about it, Executor has eaten 6 cards, and may have destroyed more in battle. It's part of what makes the deck so fun. You "build" your boss monsters, and a fully empowered Executor is one of the most terrifying monsters in the game.
Seeing the Paleo deck get shredded by Vendread was definitely surprising... but I'm glad to see such an under-appreciated deck get some love.
R-2 once again being the Vendread goat! Keep cooking king!

Eew. Traptrix.
After Seeing weevil use it in a parody, I can't un-see the archetype the same way again.
Honestly, that was a legendary parody IMO xD
How dare you do this. Master duel belongs to me!
Shhh, you know full well you're banned in half the festivals hosted in Master Duel lol
