it works..-- my issue was i couldnt power it off without the code-- reset worked - had to do both the reset and wipe partition -- first time the reboot up showed a password prompt-- took a few tries to rewipe and now its oem startup screen.. thanks

You never selected wiped out a factory reset. You selected white cachet partition
