  • This week I dragged my ole mate out of hibernation. It is a Ducati 1098 Streetfighter Turbocharged beast.
The poor bike has been donating its parts to my other bikes, customers bikes and generally just shedding its parts everywhere.
I feel the need to have a blast on this weapon once again and start to piece it back together again. No its not jumping in front of the Kawasaki ZXR750 turbo or the current 900ss build. Just whipping it back into one piece so we can have a blast down the drag strip etc.
Hope you like it and maybe after these current bikes we can pretty her up again,,, what do you think ?
    Cheers Todd

Sweet! That's awesome man. 😁 Last turbo bike I rode, I got off, gave the owner the keys back and said, "That's not a motorcycle, that's a Time Machine" It was laugh out loud - wheelie on demand - fun to ride. Love your work.

The power of a turbobike is nearly describable hey.

“...you can feel it’s trying to kill ya.” Brilliant! As I used to tell the kids, if you’re not getting hurt, you’re not having fun. (I’ve since changed it to, if you can’t get hurt you’re not having fun.) Kids are fine. Now.

Man...that is absolutely brilliant. I bet it is a handful indeed. Great work and video. Wish I had a piece of your mechanical acumen. Nice work mate.

Sure is Marc. Doesn't feel fast somehow. It feels like the engine is made of polystyrene and the wheel comes up with no effort.

    How to make a 1098 Streetfighter more un-rideable. ;)

Simple straightforward plumbing.. great work! What were the power figures? What software or piggyback did you use for fuel/ignition tuning?

    • @turbobike749
      @turbobike749  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

203bhp on our dynojet dyno. Tuneboy flashed ecu, powercommander for fuel and the powermod for boost referenced ignition timing control.

@@turbobike749- Is your fuel map rich down low? I find that turbo lag is reduced running rich low instead of lean.

Have you relocated the battery from tail to side of engine, like the 1098 super bike?

TuneBoy like the same one I use on my Triumph?
Don't suppose you've got a link for the turbo, failing that any info on it so I can Google on my end?
Came to this channel for the turbo ZX7 and now there's another turbo bike? You're spoiling us, mate.

Hi Jim. Yep the tuneboy stuff started with triumph and is the same stuff. Aerocharger is the turbo brand.Glad your hanging around and I promise to try and do something to the ZXR soon ish.. Lets see if I can do 3 bikes at once :)
