While it can be distracting until one is accustomed to the new version...this arrangement is haunting and cinematic in its magnitude. Truly a new standard for a little song like Silent Night. Plus, Carol of the Bells, one of the most sweeping and ecstatic of holiday tunes combined with that smallest, most intimate tune, is masterful, interesting, and intricate. Truly an arrangement masterpiece.
