  • In the climax of the first half of the 2003 storyline, the Toa Nuva overloaded the powers of the Bohrok-Kal, defeating them with their own abilities. Nuhvok-Kal's gravity powers ran wild and turned its body into a Black Hole. In this investigation, we dive deep into the physics of Black Holes and gravity to answer a very simple question - what would happen next?

This just proves even more that the Great Beings were reality benders, able to go away with basic laws of physics to create all the numerous abilities in the Bionicle universe, innate or mask powers. Three Body series showcases civilizations that are able to bend reality to their whim, using gravity and black holes like any other tool. Great Beings would be among such highly advanced civilizations.

There’s a reason why so few Toa of Gravity existed, and this video explains it. Their power was just that dangerous, and if a Toa of Gravity was angered enough, they could potentially destroy the entire MU.

Imagine if a Toa of Gravity had access to a Nuva Blast. After all it was Nuva energy that amplified Nuhvok Kal's gravity ability to that degree.

My thoughts going into this video: "Wouldn't the black hole be so small it'd decay before it absorbed anything else?"
My thoughts going out of this video: 0.0

Who needs a Nuva Blast when that same Nuva energy can turn a Nuhvak Kal into a much more explosive force lol

I'm starting to think Gahlok-kal actually had the most merciful end, just being pelted with magnetically attracted exo-toa debris.

Okay. That is insane. I figured it wouldn’t last long given it’s mass but I am amazed at the explosive force that brief existence would have. It’s insane how something with the mass of a little over half a ton (using the imperial system) could do so much damage.

Yeah dude. It's only a little mass, but in converting it to energy, you're still multiplying it by c².

Remember, gravity is considered a "weak" cosmic force by scientists. In ascending order, it goes gravity, the weak nuclear force, the electromagnetic force, and the strong nuclear force.
Yes, the fundamental force of the universe that binds enormous celestial and astral bodies, capable of cracking a planet with a point smaller than the smallest quantifiable building block of your body, is actually considered "weak".

Gravity is weak, it only has effect on a cosmic scale. The soldiers of an army that needs to outnumber their enemy by a factor of billions are weak.

I'm thinking about eventually writing my own take on G1, which would basically just be G1 but without the restrictions of Lego making sure it's kid friendly. If I ever go through with that idea, I'm making sure to just ignore the whole black hole part. And if anyone ever asks why, I'll link them this video.

Just have him turn into an atomically perfect orb that is later used to do a cool gravity thing.
Maybe have a member of the Order of Mata Nui use it to stop Voya Nui from shattering the universe.

A simple and very cool way to fix this is to have the Bohrok-Kals’ powers unable to stop functioning until they run out of energy, even after death.
That which was Nuhvok-Kal projects gravity fields that hold in its own radiation, possibly becoming a black hole again each time.
This has cool story implications as well, the field will eventually fail and unleash the explosion, our heroes will have to transport a radioactive, untouchable orb far away from the planet before it is too late. It would require the orb to be unaffected by teleportation and dimensional gates but gravity warps space-time so that is fine.
The other ones would also have cool effects. Pahrak-Kal heats up the ocean floor and awakens the old sea monsters, Gahlok-Kal disrupts the magnetic field which makes everyone move underground, Lehvak-Kal threatens to jettison the atmosphere as its orbit decays, Tahnok-Kal can be weaponized by the true-robots, and the dust of Kohrak-Kal can resonate with certain materials in the planet’s crust.

The only way this can stay physically contingent is if the elemental gravity powers also sucked in the Hawking Radiation.
Though not sure where this energy would go. Maybe like a “fire fight fire” thing where the energy from the radiation caused a feedback loop, expending gravity energy by feeding on the radiation until it ran out?

    • @gerald2508
      @gerald2508 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

I had the same idea; to have the Bohrok-Kals’ powers unable to stop functioning until they run out of energy, even after death.
It has cool story implications, either the field will eventually fail and unleash the explosion or it is just a radioactive ball.
I prefer the former as it leaves a threat for our heroes to contend with but they both work.

The only way this works is if the black hole is dealt with by some kind of automated defence system built into the GSR. It would make sense if you're going to have gravity based elemental powers to have some way to prevent them from going rouge and damaging the GSR.

As of yet, quantum mechanics possesses no more basis in reality than religion or other superstitions.
Not to mention these highly theoretical concepts, don't necessarily have any basis in a fictional universe, unless otherwise specified in an official capacity.
And therefore quantum mechanics cannot be reliably used to properly explain the exact functions of phenomena in a reality that might not even follow the same fictional laws of physics to which quantum mechanics belongs.
