The fact that you didn't use any actual bricks for the tree and instead used rods, Bionicle parts, etc, is probably one of the reasons why you are one of the best Lego builders on this site. Bricks as what most people think of Lego bricks
It’s so fascinating that Lego has been making so many pieces that can work in tandem with each other if you have the imagination. Also as a Lego hero factory fan just would love to see you do some builds like that if that’s something you have planned in the future
Sentient trees creep me out (weirdly enough) but I adore this so much, I love the idea of the non-humanoid pilot, the fact that it is a vegetable, and of course, the execution!
You've been my comfort youtuber since you first started posting on this platform, and I just wish to offer my greatest gratitude for the respite you've brought me. Through major depressive episodes and my worst lows, I always return to this safe and heartening space you've created. Thank you so much for the tranquillity you bring to this environment
I was watching the video while building an Adam smasher moc and thru the missile launching system from the mech I was finally able to get an idea on how to build his missile launcher (thanks for that btw)
now this is beyond cool! and you could even say that the water pump also doubles as a water Gun too! So if it doesn't want to use lethal force via its rocket launcher, it can repel foes with the water jet, though that obviously means it'll need to replenish that water supply so it can keep itself hydrated.
@@MitchBuilds hahah yeah and what if it was a gardener itself taking care of other plants & trees? it could also use the gun to water the other plants aswell, even firing it upwards to water everything at once like a sprinkler!
I adore the concept of this, a lot of detail and thought went into the overall design, and it shows. Your part usage requires so much obscure but intricate knowlage! I would really have to 'trust the process' to build like you do. Best of luck in the competition, if you don't place high, the judges have questionable taste!
i love the creativity that you put in your mocs and designs! a mech piloted by a tree is so unique i love it! i also am curiouse, how do you have such a large inventory of pieces, its really cool!
I like this idea a lot because I've read a lot about trees and found out that they're more perceptive of the world around them than we thought. Apparently trees can "communicate" with each other via root systems and mycelium. Trees know the health status of other trees around them and they can even allocate nutrients and water to trees that are failing in health. So a tree piloting a mech that can interpret its signals as instructions to move would be a cool concept. Although, realistically, the mech would only do things like move towards sunlight or stand in place during rain.
wasn't sure about the concept of the roots wokring their way through the mech but it looks soooo good. The contrast of mechanical and organic, symmetrical and asymmetrical is just *chefs kiss*
it’s always a better day when MitchBuilds uploads. you have so many parts and knowledge about all aspects of lego that i can’t help but love your wild ideas
I love your builds mitch, i seriously recommend uploading instructions and the parts needed for some of these builds so we can try using these builds in dioramas and stuff
Great work! I haven't touched Lego in a decade but I get flashbacks to my old projects and all the cool parts that Lego has to offer when I watch your videos. Thank you for putting these videos together.
That Bionicle disk launcher brought so much nostalgia. I got flashbacks of me reading this one old Bionicle comic. The classic Bionicle pieces just hit different man. They look so mechanical and alien.
I'm reminded of a playable character in Risk of Rain 2 named Rex, a robot/plant hybrid with abilities from both. I kinda wish this side of the Cyborg archetype was explored more often even if it is narrative nonsense for a plant to have that much "neural capacity" to be a pilot.
I'm in love with this very underutilized trope of a plant piloting a mech or in a symbiotic relationship with a robot. You should check out REX from Risk of Rain 2 if you also like this type of character. It's got a very similar thing going on.
I'd like to imagine the story of this tree being near a downed military mech, slowly growing and developing in its inner workings overtime until it had control.
Man I love this build so much, I'm always a tad envious of you types of builders because you have all these fancy parts and most of us are working with scraps, Yet I'm very proud because I managed to build my own custom leg partially. Can't wait for your new vids and if you have any tips I welcome them. Keep it up man, And sorry about the small rant.
12:43 From which Bionicle does this part come? I'm racking my brain and can't think of which one! It looks like a Piraka arm, but it's more beefy than that. I'm leaning towards Hero Factory even? Just curious!
time for the arch nemesis, a giant coral inside a glass dome on a mech. (with flamethrowers to counter the tree considering that a glass dome is easy to break.)
Video 6 of requesting a Tahu uniter of fire build with his bird Ikir. P.S. this is dope and from the thumbnail I thought that was a bonsai tree on top not a built which just shows off your skill even more!
Dear MitcheBuild, i dont know if you'll ever read this or not. But i've always fasinated with the usage of bone/skeleton moc. If ever you had the time to, can you please build one? Anyhow, love your vids and builds. Have a good day!
Random thought for a build: What would a base set in chaos magic look like? What chaotic elements would be involved in ways that defy physics but still make sense for a base?
the design is absolutely fantastic ! for real, if you are able to generate an assembly instruction manual pdf and a part list to buy by reproducing it with the lego software, that's something I would buy to make it myself at home !
this build is AMAZING!! as a mainly system bricks builder, you've really opened my eyes to how geniously technich and bionicle(+similar) parts can be used edit: and Znap

where did you get that really weird bionicle part in 12:52?
Can you build Radhan From Elden Ring?
You Should be in that Build battle lego show

I loved the tree, maybe my favourite part of the build

I love the tree parts bleeding into the mech and the mech parts bleeding into the tree!
I like to imagine the mech has a mechanism that allows the tree to speak. I think this guy would work well in a stop motion series

Robot arms in each other's holes is a stresser, but can be easily amended with a pneumatic T to be a stress-free build.
