- Hi there! Today I thought I would go through what I believe to be some of the most popular misconceptions and assumptions regarding heroic races.
I've heard so many times (and also saw it a LOT when I returned to the game) where players said that your first heroic race you'd get bots that don't play. I also then had players telling me that if you win 1 race, every single race would get harder and harder from then on. There's also a very popular misconception that if you miss a race, your opponents in the upcoming marathon will be easier. Simply put, I don't believe that any of these things are true.
I have seen many, many hundreds of examples over the last year or so of players not logging in for a race and then next time getting an opponent that makes it to lap 21+. I've also seen it happen where someone doesn't log in and gets easier opponents. Overall, it seems like the common theme is that your opponents are simply mostly RANDOM and there is no way to guarantee an easy/hard race just by missing the race before.
Now, I have seen some evidence of bot opponents becoming more likely if you miss multiple races in a row, but just 1 race is unlikely to make a substantial enough difference where it's worth missing out on a whole heroic for it.

Surely we can use this community, or the reddit community to check if we are actually competing with eachother or just bots.
It seems that you can see others players in your races, however they cannot see you, as you're put into different race brackets to each other (unless by sheer luck you both happen to see each other in a race, which is unlikely). So technically you're not actually racing against someone that is trying to beat you, but someone else that you can't see. At least, that's how it was previously, I haven't been able to check this in the last few races.
This alone makes it quite difficult to ascertain whether the opponents are bots or not, however we'd expect real players to log in and make at least some progress gradually, however bots either seem to not log in at all, or suddenly jump like 2 laps and then not continue any further
I'd argue that for the Marthons they may seems "easy" but they sfill feell like a bit much to do because of how wierd the timers tend to be at times. Not much consistancy. Whereas the other races. You can try to work around it.
Still very easy to at least get qualified during the last marathon as there were plenty of days spare to reach 15. I usually judge how "difficult" a race or particular lap is based on the amount of bonus time you have before race end e.g. if you can reach lap 15 with 5 days to spare, that's quite easy. Doesn't mean that player will log in dilligently enough to make it there with 5 days spare, but it's a lot of leeway on the timers
The rumours are false or whatever they saying, the enemies are randomized, some get ultra pay to win and some got not active players or in extremely rare case the oponent you get is bots, the reason why tons of people got bot enemies is the game crashed due to peope logging to dragon city when the heroic race came, this is not a fact but a theory
In short terms is: enemies are pure RNG
i won the ashwing race and everyone was bot and i got to lap 7
hey Quackalakes, im very late commenting on this video, but once i was 1.5 Years OFFLINE my opponent somehow still got to lap 15 we were so close to each other i somehow still beat him because of 1 node away from him, so its confirmed to how offline you are doesnt matter, it just depends...

So the hct marathon will be like hot marathon where you would have to get first to get the dragon and others positions will have gems? No one really knows about this hope that you can answer.

f2p are lap7 i am the same if u want to go higher faster u need to spend gems and not wait , i spend in every heroic race not more than 50 gems xd but they spend almost 200-300 to get to lap 15 at the end i guess
I've done 3 heroic races with like 4 months apart each, and every single time I've gotten full bot opponents so idk if I'm lucky, or accidentally choosing the races where they just BOOST the lap 1 bot chances (The highest lap I've ever seen someone else get to was lap 3 on the most recent HMK marathon)
I have 2 accounts...1 play all the time...and 1 that i am rarely on (1 or 2 times/month)...the account i play on is extremely competive...and the other one...all i need is to get to minimum laps to win...current race for HTC...there is only 1 other person moving...and they are still lap 1, on day 2

You dont need HAJ to "win the game". It's a VIP heroic, so it's intended to be p2w only, unless you get insanely lucky or spend tons and tons of resources trading for it

some times it takes less than 3 tries other time more than 40
soo just prey but its the fastest method

This completely depends on how much you log in. Nobody will be logging in at exactly the same times and frequencies@@gachaleaks8654

u have 16 days to save up gems get atleast 250 and hope for good luck on your lobby xd
Absolutely, if you are consistant every day, set timers for pools and cool downs, and use your gems stategically on the longest tasks. Also make sure you don't lock in your food farms and breeding/hatching stations with long tasks the day leading up to the race. ;) good luck!
Edit : You also want to leave yourself over a day for lap 14 if your gems are limited. I'd aim to be on at least lap 11 with 5 days reamining to ensure you reach lap 15 if you have fierce competitors.
On the high nest race players were very active,but it was first heroic race that I played but I had my account for a long time
Bruh i just came back to dragon city after like almost a year and play for like 5 days and then the corrupted time drsgon marathon i was so scared cuz i wanted it so bad and i am acig this race with rn them being on lap 2 and me on lap 9 idk heroric races r interesting but i dont know i have missed on like 10 months worth of herorics and legendaries
