Ian thornley is debatably the most talented guitar player ever. Might be the most underrated musician of all time

What's really impressive about this song is the dynamics. They go from big, to small, back to big and small masterfully.

Hey David. If you haven't ever heard the Suhr 2015 version of this song that Big Wreck did, you gotta hear it. There just is no comparison to the 2014 version. I've listened to this song now hundreds of times. I just can't get enough.....

Ian Thornley is an amazing musician , one that stays true to his craft. He was originally recruited by Slash for Velvet Revolver but declined, he didn't want to be just a straight frontman due to his love of guitar,.

Someone needs the ears cleaned and then cleaned again because you're obviously not able to hear greatness when it's right in front of you. I respect the hell out of you and I'm a little disappointed that you're not getting it. Big Wreck members are all graduates from Berkeley University and it shows. Ian Thornley is by far the most underrated singer and hands down the most influential guitarist. His soloing is not of this earth. I hope you dig into more from Big Wreck and also his solo band Thornley. Best of luck to you

Yes, I believe you did Big Wreck's Ghosts live from the Suhr Factory party, a different year. Ian is the lead singer for Big Wreck. Interesting that someone picked Ian singing this "solo" as it's a Big Wreck song. The performances with his band has a lot more energy than this one which is a more low-key, slower performance. If I remember correctly, many of the same comments were made about Ghosts, too. Bombs Away would be something of a complete opposite of this from Big Wreck.

Ian's band Big Wreck's latest release "7.3" is brilliant. The lead-off track "Full Display" shows off a bit more of what they can do.

All the tracks are amazing on that album. The track I personally love on the album is Haunted

The name of individual who suggested the song is interesting as Ian's band's name is Big Wreck. I think that you have reacted to Albatross previously.
Probably not the best time to suggest a song by Big Wreck after you disliked this song, however, the song "That Song" is a must listen. Great vocals, ripping guitar and a great groove.

      Thanks for the love Heretic!
Another great one by Big Wreck from their earlier years is The Oaf...give that one a listen as well.

This is an emotional song for Ian his range both vocally and musically is quite diverse they go from hard rocking bangers to more thought provoking emotional stuff but lean more to hard mostly check out fear and cowardice, bombs away, and full display more of your cup of tea perhaps

Yeah I mean what's impressive about a guy who sings like Chris Cornell, plays like a virtuoso, and sounds incredible live on a song released decades ago? And then there's his hybrid picking and slide playing. Oh, and the tone...

100% agreed. Might bring Captain Grumpy's score up to 7.7 tho ;) (I'm kidding, taste in music is VERY subjective, I thought 7.6 was a fair score from you for this performance)

I wonder why i mainly look for reactions to songs i already know and like instead of to discove new stuff? Maybe its because its like sharing a song you love with a buddy to see what they think? ...and i have no music buddies anymore. Boo

Have heard some much harder songs from them, I have liked what I've heard from them before. This song, not one of my favorites was a good song but not much more. Would like to hear you do something else that's harder from them.

i respect the crap out of 7.6 when it isn't your style. that shows a lot of respect for what the song actually is and the talent of the participants.

Ian Thornley is the frontman of Big Wreck. People like to compare him to Chris Cornell which is a lovely compliment but not a very nuanced one.

I have no idea what your genre of music is but damn, not every song is meant for every listener.
Try “Bail Out” off Pages album if you need some heavier tones.
