Stefan - I love the denon mixer - I just have to get used to using the gain knobs as I did not have to use them with the old Numark. The video helped and seeing the mixer at MBLV and playing with it helped also!
hey - if u use VDJ, why did you get a 19 inch mixer? just get a 10 inch, and a small coffin, then you can rid of your numark dual cd deck, and lighten your setup i had ppd9000 numark and cdn 95s, got rid of them, now its VDJ + mixer, and cd players in car as backup :)
Does the dnx-500 allow you to preview a different audio selection in your headphones while a seprate musical selection is being played through your main speakers?
@uptownxpress how!!! they DO NOT! mics dont work with master vol alone.... you have to adjust their own vol gain... i had a behringer vmx 1000 and the mic work toguether with the master vol and on this one it does not and i find it hard to adjust keep getting lots of feed back please help1

Great video. My brother and I recently purchased the same mixer and I love it. Definitely a great purchase. You mentioned purchasing a sonic maximizer. I strongly recommend that you do. The difference in sound quality is amazing. We run the BBE max-x3 in our setup. I also play music from my laptop so sometimes the compressed files don't sound as good. But our sonic maximizer brings out the best in all of our music. Check out our page. The name is jmule09.
its so funny to see how everything in your setup has changed from 2009 to now!

just purchased my Denon DN-X500 today!
awesome video...very very very helpful...especially the monster audio cables...on my way to get a few!
nice job
Did you end up buying that DMC2? I would personally go the Denon DN-HC4500 cause you can control VDJ and also a dual CD draw at the same time.
I own the dn hc4500, fantastic investment brotha!
