They paid him too much, quarterbacks shouldn't be paid 50 mill a year, wide receivers shouldn't be paid 32 mill (or 28 mill) a year and NFL owners should lower ticket prices. Ohtani is awesome, increasing mlb interest in Japan and other places. But if there's another season like last year where he can't bat in September and October there will be a lot of unhappy Dodger fans. I'm unhappy they didn't sign Taylor only through 2023 and didn't sign Rosario for several seasons.
He wasn't the best player in any single stat last year as a batter or a pitcher. He won't be pitching at all this year, he doesn't play a field position, he's a DH. Let's not even get into his awful '18 and '19 statistics. Dodgers will be kicking themselves in 10 years when he is retired and is still the highest paid player on their payroll. He's damn good, but seriously overrated.

I'm trying to understand what happened exactly on Gordon's homerun. The ball hit off the right fielder's glove, and then appeared to hit the chain link fence part of the wall. Then it looked like it rolled down the top of the padding. Can someone explain to me how that was a homerun exactly? I wish the slow motion replay hadn't cut off so soon. Maybe it would've been easier to see exactly what happened. 🤔

A lot of times they steal on the pitcher. Put a lefty with a really good move out there and it makes it tougher to steal. I guy on the Orioles in '83 picked off the side in an inning. After the pickoff by Gavin Stone a few days ago I think he'll make it tough to steal.
Okay I watched that second near-steal and it was a bad throw. But batters interference probably contributed to it. On the first one the ball hit the dirt then into Will's glove. If it went straight into the glove Will probably would have thrown out the runner.

The glove was above the wall. The only way it wasn't gonna be a HR was if Pages had caught it, which he nearly did, but it slipped out.
