I swear, Rebecca could have done an amazing final battle for steven universe future, but instead of that she screwed it up like she did with the ending of Steven universe :/ At least the real ending was wholesome, but man, I expected way more from the final battle...

Now that I think about it, when Connie rejected his proposal, he turned pink, so maybe this is an AU to where it drives him mad from his own desperation to be with Connie and attacks the Crystal Gems based on Ruby and Sapphire's advice (garnet but unfused.)

While I did like the ending of SU, I kinda wish we did get a fight like this. Where Steven let’s go of any kind of morals or reasoning and just goes batshit Diamond mode times 100.
But like why would he though? With the monster bit he lost control, he doesn't really have a real reason to act as himself when he shattered Jasper by accident. She told him not to hold back then. He wouldn't want to actively hurt the gems.
I mean if he became a monster after shattering Jasper that would give the final battle some time to breathe and possibly show a fight with the crystal gems and the diamonds fighting steven but it will end in the hug but feel deserved not rushed ending

Absolutely amazing! I really think that each gem’s separate motifs should have been used a LITTLE bit more though. (the most prominent Gem motif here was Garnet’s Stronger Than You section, which I think should have been closer to the start for the song to sort of rise into the more chaotic middle section, those are just small nitpicks though. This is SUPER well made!!! Love it!)

So if he doesn't search for help, he is a potential killer.

Honestly, it just takes time to understand what you're doing. I personally started off with garageband doing really bad megalovania covers using tutorials just for fun, and with time, started to learn and improve, not needing those tutorials to make covers of other songs. Eventually I started studying in music theory, and I improved even more. You can be great at anything, all it takes is commitment, and time.

Honestly I do like the fact that people have this idea of steven becoming evil, but I got a better idea Picture this, Steven's stress levels go to the point that he starts talking to an alternate version of himself that he created from all the negative emotions, creating this dark and evil version of steven. This evil steven keeps trying to break free to harm Steven's family and friends, but steven keep fighting back in order to prevent him from escaping, enduring every negative outcome that comes in his way Which leads us to the confrontation scene before steven turns into monster steven, instead of him becoming corrupt, evil steven finally breaks free, lashing out at the gems, and Connie thus leading to this song
