This may sound odd to some of you, but this non-religious man very much appreciated the depth and richness of this group's interpretation of the Little Drummer Boy. It was a welcome clarion call after nearly a decade of overt hostility to Christmas and tradition in the United States. So, may I end with a thank you and the wish of a Merry Christmas to all.
Because I have no family left on this earth, Christmas & Christmas music has no meaning to me. However when I hear this version, I have a huge smile the entire song. Thanks guys.
Memories are the meaning now. When I was a kid (57 now) The little Drummer Boy was my favorite Christmas show. Sitting on the floor in front of the TV watching it, eating popcorn, while my foster mom painted the manger scene on the big front window of the house. Loved ones come and go until we die, but nothing replaces the memories that their love gave us.
I'm so so sorry you've lost so many. My older brother passed in September, and I feel the loss. But Christmas is about the coming of our Savior, and this song reminds me that even if what we have to offer in praise to Him seems small, it matters. Christmas can be such a hard time for many, so I pray you will feel Jesus comfort you.

My husband and I volunteered with Compassion International at the fKaC/Casting Crowns concert in Pittsburgh. We were setting our table up when I heard the opening sounds of this song. They did it first and I wasn’t prepared for it. I dropped my stuff and told my husband I had to go see it. I ran in and got to see this song played in person. It filled me with such joy that I cried. It energized me so much that I went out and helped the team of volunteers sign up sponsors for over 530 children in poverty. I’m a chronic pain sufferer and I’m almost completely home bound. Just being there was hard for me so the energy this performance gave my soul was truly God sent. Thank you Joel and Luke for a night I’ll never forget.

This was my dads favorite Christmas song, he'd play it over and over and sing every word. He passed Nov 30th of 2010 & my mom just sent me this version. Its the best I've heard & he would have loved it!

I am really a person that likes to stick to tradition. When I first heard this version, I thought, wow, too much noise! Yet, something made me replay this over and over. I now can't stop watching this video. This is my absolute favorite Christmas song of all time because no matter what times we are facing, it is still true today. No matter how many times I've listened to it, it is always a tear jerker when the phrase "I played my best for him" comes because it is reflecting how we treat each other here on earth, how we honor Jesus our Savior. I think it’s their enthusiasm. You don’t feel like they are just a band putting their spin on a Christmas song, you feel like they are putting their heart and souls into honouring Jesus. They inspire you to be like the Little Drummer Boy and do something with love, from your heart.
