    Good video. I was very lucky. I got a 2021 R/T plus in a 6 speed manual. It came with a lot of upgrades.

    Enjoy your ride. Cool color for sure. Smart to get one before the Hemi disappears in 2024. I have a 2020 R/T Shaker that is loaded and no complaints here at all. It reminds me very much of the 1st gen car that I owned way back in the day. Delightful muscle machines!

      Thank you, we won’t be seeing these cars around for my longer with all the restrictions. Long live the hemi!

    Nice ride! I'm so happy that you chose the manual 😊 I was beginning to think that nobody wants to drive a manual car anymore. I also live in the tri-state area, but I love driving manual, '18 RT Plus Shaker with 4 pst Brembo/6 spd and '02 911 Turbo 6 spd. Good luck and enjoy your car 🏁

      Thank you! You have the best of both worlds there… long live the stick shift. It makes driving fun no matter the car. Safe travels ✌🏻

      @@Luis-mz6dx please be patient, good things come to those who can wait. I waited over 9 months for the Turbo, and 3 months for the Shaker. Good luck!

    That is a beautiful car. Almost exactly the way I’d order it, too. Certainly the colour I’d go with.

    If you had the Driver Convenience group on the car they come with high intensity discharge headlights witch is a light blue color. It’s nice and bright on low beams l, high beams are crazy bright.

    Get yourself a leaf blower and blow all that water out from around your trunk, it’s also good for blow drying your wheels, your grill, side view mirrors, door jams.

    Great video. What would your mpgs be in sixth gear going 75 mph on the freeway?

    • @leifpettersen6239
      @leifpettersen6239  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Depends on how long you are going that speed for.
      I average anywhere from 15.8-18 mpg driving modestly around that speed on my commute to work. If you go that speed on a highway for a longer time each day and don’t do much around the town driving you could get closer to 20 on average.

    Like you, I ordered a 2021 RT manual from factory with exact same options (option). Hellraisin. Sold my 2019 RT automatic because I wanted a manual. I own 2 other manual cars. 1972 Roadrunner and 1999 Miata. I'm 1 year in now. The modern fuel delivery has had me struggling to find the best shift points. I find sweet spots almost by accident. Direct injection seems to lag the fuel flow drop off (maybe a software issue). The higher you rev, the quicker you need to shift (careful, don't miss that shift) 1000 rpm drop between throttle application seems the smoothest. I've been short shifting between 1st and 2nd and then run it up to redline the rest of the way. ( Keeps me off "idiots in cars" videos ) It revs quickly in 1st. Recently turned off traction control and it seems to affect fuel delivery. Maybe my imagination, but it makes some sense. I'm shifting better now it seems. Very good review and you clued me into a couple of items I didn't know about. Thanks!

    • @leifpettersen6239
      @leifpettersen6239  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark,
      I agree with you that you have to find the sweet spot when shifting. I think a lot of it has to do with the air temperature outside/humidity/ etc. like you said, the higher you rev the faster you have to go through gears and I have also missed some gears due to revving too high in 1st and second gear. Now I tend to shift by feel and when I am doing a WOT pull I get the best pulls by shifting right before redline line or in some cases closer to 5500 rpm.

    With the cold weather group it gives you the 180amp instead of the 160std. Heat Seats/Steering Wheel not standard on base unless you get the cold weather group. NICE CAR and color 👍👍👍

    I have a 2019 in plum crazy. Re: the frozen windows in winter...when you're done for the day, turn all your heat controls up to high...plus the front defroster. Remote start the car 15 minutes before you need to get in it so you can open the door.
    I'm not sure if the 6 speed has a remote start...sorry
    My 2016 didn't have the remote start, and there was alot of cold winter mornings I was out there with my wife's hair blower with a long extension cord trying to unfreeze the windows

    I booked my Challenger RT 2022 yesterday. Ill be picking it up in around 2 months period. Super nervous and dont really know what to expect. Itll be my first sports car and that too a V8 Hemi. I currently own a 2013 civic so lets see how that goes. Ive heard a lot of bad stuff about American cars and I am kinda scared, but still have faith.

    • @leifpettersen6239
      @leifpettersen6239  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’d say you are getting a big upgrade from your civic. With proper maintenance and care these cars can last a lifetime.

    What kind of fuel do u run in it? 87, 89, or 91? Ive got a 2021 challenger RT as well and been kinda picking peoples brains on type of fuel they use

    • @leifpettersen6239
      @leifpettersen6239  ปีที่แล้ว

      Owners manual says 89 for automatic 5.7 minimum and 91 for manual transmission. I go either 91 or 93 shell fuel

      Auto loaders (entry level position and alot of younger guys) loading vehicles onto trains) get a hold of them first for those type shenanigans, then unloaders same senerio and worst of all the truckers that deliver them to dealerships etc. I've seen them floor brand new vehicles and peel rubber before even making it onto their trucks. This after a fine and detailed inspection before driving them to load as to cover their asses for insurance. But screw the person who hasn't even purchased the vehicle yet. 🙄

    Having the same color spoiler as your car looks so lame to me… it’s meant to be satin black

    • @leifpettersen6239
      @leifpettersen6239  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what makes everyone’s cars unique. You get what you like… I never liked the black spoiler. If you want a black spoiler they sell the “blacktop package” with black spoiler and wheels
