Before we start bashing this game, let’s not forget it literally just released into early access. The game will get better as time goes on. And yes it’s rough right now but I have faith in the devs. They do this game right, it may be enough to challenge madden. The customization depth is INSANE. And I enjoy it so far. If this game gets the support it’s needs it’ll succeed.
Nobody is "bashing" this game. It is released as it is, and they are getting the feedback from the community they wanted. This game is three years late on its "early access." How do you know the game will get any "better?" This game is only being fueled by hope and potential. Maximum Football always had a very good customization suite. That's not enough to save this game. It plays like garbage. They need to invest a lot of time and work into the ball physics, player movement, and the DB/WR interactions, ball and receiver/defender animations, and when I am going for a pass and the defender literally throws me away from the play, that should be a PENALTY. There seem to be no penalties in this game other than illegal kick and delay of game. I hope with all I have that the dev teams work on this game with gusto and get it where it needs to be in order to even be considered playable. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it needs to be a lot better than where it is in order to compete with Madden. I will never buy another EA Madden game, but I won't buy this if this is the best they can do, simply because it isn't Madden.
As someone who is playing the game, I agree 100% with your comments. It is worth noting that you can download and play for FREE though admittedly this leaves out a few features, including long term dynasties. You can also earn in-game credits and build a squad for online play. Certainly worth a look and worth following without spending any hard earned coin
I mean no harm when I say this, but we also have to say it cause everyone thinks it. It absolutely has to look better gameplaywise to actually cause change to the status quo. And I understand how difficult that is, it’s just the reality of the battle.
The reality is, if people don't have patience and actually support a game, they'll never have a good football game. Madden will continue to put out roster updates and monkeys will continue to keep buying it because it looks good. The reality is, the players get exactly what they deserve with EA. I had the commentator say "Turnover on downs," after I went for it on 4th and goal from the 1, scored the touchdown, and after they just announced I had scored it.
"Guidance system" is a real term, but it is usually used in reference to something, like a missile guidance system. I know this because my Father was an engineer for Fairchild Industries who worked on designing the A-10, and missile guidance systems for the Apache helicopters. They might have omitted the reference to a "missile" for fear of having something resembling violence.....in a football game.
I was pretty pessimistic about this game after all the delays, the vague PR video drops that said a lot, but showed nothing, and then the monetization model spilled out. I was pleasantly surprised. There is some potential here if they play their cards right. PROS: -The game does work decently on a foundational level. They've done a lot of work to make it play better and it shows. I remember those old Maximum games where the player animations and movements were terrible. They are better now, but not yet in that sweet spot. -The potential of having an all-in-one game that includes Dynasty, Pro, and Canadian Football, and if they get them all to work together in the same universe would be huge. - The team customization suite is deep, and it is also saved with the game, instead of some live service server that when it shuts down, you no longer have access to your custom teams. CONS: -The announcing team is very generic, but that is something can be fleshed out later. -Graphical glitches with players walking literally through the tunnel, janky animations from players getting up off the turf. -The user interface is horrendous and confusing. A simple depth chart change or in game substitution is a nightmare, and that's even if you are using a mouse and keyboard. It is a lot worse with a controller. -Spectator Mode AI is lacking clock management awareness, and does not make substitutions. -Kickers with 90+ KPW and KAC will miss PATs and chip shot field goals too often. It has made improvements since the Demo, but it definitely needs work. If they stick with it, they have the potential to cause some serious headaches for Madden. I agree with you, it isn't worth a price tag right now. This came out free in early access for us to test the game for them and give them input. We shouldn't have to pay for that, unless we just want to donate to the cause. That being said, Modus isn't some fly by night, indie dev team with only 3 people. It is a gaming company that has been around for quite some time, they sell a lot of different games, and they have funds.
@@DashawnGriffin Well, customization for league types in Dynasty mode and for the team itself is pretty deep, save for equipment options since that is locked behind a paywall. Gameplay is severely lacking. Since posting this I have seen my would be tacklers literally dive THROUGH a ball carrier and allow huge plays. I have seen far too many times my receiver have a step or two on a defender, have the ball go off his hands, bounce and hang there perfectly either for that defender to grab it, or for another blocker to come in from out of nowhere and pick it off. It also seems that the AI has a homing missile defender on the player you are controlling. When I am playing safety, the CPU ALWAYS blocks me from making a play, even when I drop down into the box on an unscripted blitz. I'd be fine with that if that would free up one of my NPC defenders to get free, but that doesn't happen. On some running plays the defense will have a nano-blitzing LBer that is always there and will catch you no matter how fast your RB is, because your RB will just run in slow motion so they can be caught, even if you are activating the speed boost. It also feels at times that I simply do not have control of my own player. I control a receiver, and they won't run the route I have them running. I tell them to jump for a catch, and they will dive 5 yards away from the pass. I catch the pass, and they are locked into a post catch animation and the delay on regaining control seems like it lasts a decade, always long enough for a defender to tackle you. Game play needs a massive overhaul, it is what will bury this game.

Why can't developers make arcade NFL games? EA has had the simulation rights but someone could have made at least one arcade NFL game over the past two decades. Even without the NFL just an arcade football game that's 11 on 11 would be cool.
There is no Franchise, because there is no pro league right now. So Dynasty is College based play. Recruiting high school players instead of an NFL-style draft, College playoffs and bowl games instead of NFL style.
This shit look ass. 2k seriously just needs to make a game like All Pro 08. Football fans are so desperate for a football game with REALISTIC gameplay that i believe we would all rather play an unlicensed, FULLY customize-able football game than what EA provides us.
No. They have spectate mode which is you watching the AI control both teams, from horrible camera angles. The game's AI is completely broken. It doesn't do any substitutions, it has no game situation awareness (like passing with less than two minutes in the game when you are ahead by 40 points...or the losing team running in that same situation), and no clock management ability.

@@eduardopena5893 When I say why can't they do something like this I mean in a sense of content they managed to combine both the college and nfl experience while having the option to make and build your own teams at release that alone is crazy considering it took 10 years just for EA to bring back NCAA
@@blewzzz There are a couple of reasons, and it has to do with the licensing issues for both the NFL and various licenses for College. A game that does not have those licenses is not bound by them. They don't have real NFL players, teams, and they don't have real college players or teams. Did you notice that the NCAA series ended when they players went on strike, and obtained their own rights to their likenesses and such. That would require EA to come to an agreement with the NCAA/college teams, and they finally got an agreement with enough players this past year to release "College Football" 25. EA had two different games for those leagues because the college game has different rules and such from the NFL. It is quite a task for a company to make both games in one, but I suppose when you don't have a lot of the rules in place in the game, it doesn't really matter too much, does it?
@@eduardopena5893 I know the reasonings behind them not bringing back NCAA I still find it odd why they can't work something out to merge both CFB and Madden you pretty much already have the option to draft your RTG player into Madden
@@blewzzz So if you knew why, then why did you ask the question. It was literally due to licensing problems. Right, drafting a player with ratings into another game is not the same as playing both games with two different rule sets. I mean, I would think that is pretty obvious.

The linemen are weirdly out of proportion. Another issues in the passing game is the lack of separation.
And when my receivers do get WIDE open, 90% of the time they drop the pass. The other 10% of the time they go into an unscripted (meaning I didn't put any input on my controller) dive catch animation which automatically makes them down (even though nothing contacted them) and gives you 0 chance for YAC.
Why can't developers make arcade NFL games? EA has had the simulation rights but someone could have made at least one arcade NFL game over the past two decades. Even without the NFL just an arcade football game that's 11 on 11 would be cool.
They can. 2k was supposed to be working on a game just like that, and they release some horrible mobile game...
Whats up Will? Not used to seeing you without the pernabation on your other side
"Glory ho-... I mean gloryville growlers" 😂😂😂
Allgahny River Bears is Pittsburgh Panthers. Gloryville Growlers are Cal-Berkley Bruins.
with a little love it can be something pretty special, but right now? no
Yeah this is a game a lot of people are gonna play and then put on the shelf for a while to come back later
what's your pc's specs? i can't play it as my cpu doesn't meet the hefty minimum requirements :/
i think i should stop being poor
What's up with this ticket thing so I can play another season in dynasty mode
That is their pay wall. You can only play limited dynasty seasons for free.
they need to fix that run animation.
They need to fix a TON of animations, because there really are no physics in this game.
Seems cool as a manager type game
Fast sim is the only way this game is playable.
Whats the difference between Dynasty and Franchise?
There is no Franchise, because there is no pro league right now. So Dynasty is College based play. Recruiting high school players instead of an NFL-style draft, College playoffs and bowl games instead of NFL style.
3:21 "I want me some Glory Hole"
Rip to that guy😂
LOL Maximum Football. You have to pay for anything you want to do in the game.
This shit look ass. 2k seriously just needs to make a game like All Pro 08. Football fans are so desperate for a football game with REALISTIC gameplay that i believe we would all rather play an unlicensed, FULLY customize-able football game than what EA provides us.
2k isn’t the same company that it used to be
Idgaf I'm addicted to this game
Does this game have a coach mode?
Boston Catholic Kings, I bet that's supposed to be Boston College Eagles.
Everybody that brags about nfl2k5 needs to remember they started as nfl2k on sega dreamcast in a era where Ncca and Madden dominated so everybody deserves a chance
And the difference is, they made a FANTASTIC product.
6 fumbles, 3 ko return tds. Haha. No. This can't even challenge NFL Fever. Truly horrible game. With great customization. Madden is still a no buy but i won't waste time playing this for free either. Montana 93 with robot commentary better.
0:35 "You know, I'm something of a Messiah myself".
Hell yeah🎉❤
Madden has had over 25 years to make improvements. Hard for a new commer to come in and make advancement comparable to madden. You guys saying 1 year are crazy. You're looking at 5+ years.
They've already had 3, and they are going on 4 now. They spent plenty of time creating a MUT mode nobody asked for though. Glad to see they focused on that instead of making the game more playable....
Nice
Modus? Oh no.
After how they treated Them's Fightin' Herds? Expect this to not get the support they need.
9:30 If only they had some great examples of fun play by play announcing to call on *cough* BENGAL *cough*.
Edit: y'know thinking about it, maybe we're being unfair. Judging by the levels of excitement in the delivery they went all out and paid for Al Michaels.
Why can't EA do this?
Do what? Madden is a better product than this game, and I HATE Madden and will never buy another one. My last Madden was 20. It so infuriated me, plus their hatred for PC players and taking the game off Origin so I can no longer play it even if I wanted to...no way.
This game is trash man, c'mon. Madden isn't THIS bad 😂
None None the new Nene
This shit is horrible as hell, Where are they thinking this is going to go ?
They are banking on the people that are Never Madden, and will buy something simply because it isn't Madden. I am in that camp to a degree, but I am not buying crap simply because it isn't Madden.
😭
"Basically all you can do is play dynasty." Brotha you kinda need to delete this entire video, re-film, and re-upload. Dynasty should be the second thing on people's minds when they download this. It's all about the multiplayer, which is completely free.
Multiplayer? You can't co-op play this game. There is no online Dynasty mode....
Multiplayer isn’t deep or needed
@@DerekCartee25 Exactly. They say they are listening to the community. Did anyone ask for this? Did anyone ask for the MUT mode?
@@eduardopena5893 absolutely not, and if you criticize the game and try to keep them to the pillars they made there self they’ll ban you
@@DerekCartee25 And their get-along-gang here will team up on you and try to shut you up and call you a "hater."
I don't "hate" this game at all. I LOVE the premise of it. I will support it full force (aside from being forced to pay for an inferior product, and for the record, that's what I consider Madden to be, and I haven't bought that game either), and cheer them on in their effort.
That being said, they put this game out there in the state it is in an effort to get feedback from us, the players. I am giving it. If they truly want to make the game better, they need to know what is wrong with it and fix it. They just can't have smoke blown up their kiesters all the time and be told everything is cool as is, because then it will never improve.
Qu'est ce que?
I don’t understand how anyone can watch this guy
