,,,,AND,,,, the rest is history. Very cool details,,,to think this is where it all kicked off,,and people are still enamoured by Elvis today. How many other singers/entertainers have had anywhere close to the staying power of Elvis.. Thanks again SG.

I have been to the Overton Park Shell and stood on the stage. Your video was great and made it all seem so real again. No one does ELVIS videos like you so thank you! Any chance you will interview the boy who became the police officer? Might be an interesting story.

The family and i visited memphis in 2018 from the uk. Before walking onto the memphis zoo ( which is the best zoo weve ever visited by the way) we visited Overton park shell. There was a gentleman painting the stage floor, and he was kind enough to show us around. A memory ill never forget.

When I was there a couple years ago, the concrete uprights from the original seats were all stacked up at the sides of the shell.

That was incredible all of it.
Especially about the boy growing up to be.
    A policeman.
Thank God I always did all these things so you could find them and tell us all about his life.
    And his beautiful memories.
    God bless you always.
Sending blessings. Prayers hugs in love always to you and your family.

Awesome story and awesome presentation. So glad that the Shell hasn't changed that much in so many years. Exciting stuff here, Billy. Also - at the end - I had no idea Elvis played the bass part on that song - or at least the beginning part. Now it makes sense he'd have a bass playing to Mohair Sam when the Beatles met him. If people have any doubt in Elvis' talent on a guitar, all they have to do is watch the 68 Comeback Special. There are some great moments during the leather jacket bit (especially the stand-up part) where he shows he really can play and quite well. Thanx for this and all your uploads. Til the next one, Take care, My friend. You guys are on the point.

    Spa Guy,
It is incredible how Elvis being the opening performer of a “famous Singer “ at that time,
Becomes the King of Rock and Roll world wide and the “famous Singer “ is forgotten about.
This is a perfect example of one never knows what your destiny is.
    Thank for the video.
As always we learned more facts, events, people, places and history of all kinds though your videos .
    Arrivederci!

Honestly, I didn't know much about Slim Whitman until you brought up his name, so I decided to listen to some of his tunes. And wow, he definitely had some vocal influence on Elvis. Elvis recorded Blue Moon only a few weeks after the Overton Park show. He does some falsetto stuff in the middle just like Whitman. Another great video spa guy!

Did the guy, who showed you arround, say why they nearly lost the shell?? Maybe i didn't get it, my mother tongue is not English.
    I love that place!!
This was very informative, your bass imitation was brilliant !🌞

It is a new version of footage I shot over a long period of time.. I am going back and updating old videos I put out when I had 15,000 subs now I have almost 100,000.. I am also making sure the information is accurate since I know more now than I did 6-7 years ago.. So no it is not a repost it is a new video..
