I met him im a fan meet-up. HE seemed to me, a very grounded, cool calm and collected human being. The dad is very approachable too.

By now… should it be Filipino. Nationalist Rizal identified himself as Filipino, mind, heart, and blood.

I think the Phili can be a better nation if inequality is narrowed down. Chinese Filipinos can form non profit groups to uplift the poor population.. Pay them better wages. Build housing, improve public schools, lessen fees for remittances, etc. m

I think if he grew up in Hong Kong during his first 18 years, his culture is Chinese, not Filipino. I spent my first 14 years in the Philippines and moved to the US fir the rest of my life… and I can say that my culture is Filipino. Of course, I learned to assimilate but I can differentiate between the two. Even my grown up kids born and raised here will say that.

What does it mean to b filipino by heart when one has a totally chinese upbringing?? Even though one lives or was born in the philippines and knows filipino history culture and language, being raised chinese means you think, speak and behave more like chinese. How can one be filipino by heart? I just dont know the feeling.
