      @@julius.2003 So because it's useful to have these skills in very specific situations you should learn them even if they seem to occur on very rare occasions? Why is that? Because it makes you a more dangerous man? And a good man is a very dangerous man who has that under voluntary control? Is that what you're saying?

    I started joining MMA gym when I realised the people in my country, especially men, are weak. Whenever there's harassment going on like a bus driver got beaten up by some crazy dude, people wouldn't do anything except to record it and post in online. I join the gym to learn self-defense and not to beat random people. I'm on the 3rd month now and feeling confident with myself.

    The first time I watched your video it was about 2 years ago. After a while I stopped following you. It wasn’t after a couple months ago that I came across your channel again. Knowing that you’d converted to Islam shocked me, but I could see it in you. I am amazed at your transformation as a human being. I have learned so much from you. I like how calm you are- that calmness in your speech says so much about your mental and spiritual state. Please make more of the kinds of video where you help people with their “no fap” and “semen retention” journey. I think you would agree that nothing more that these two concepts are affecting young man’s life. Much love brother!

    it’s absolutely mind boggling to me that these are all things we should already know as the MASCULINE beings we are.
    we have been so spoiled and directed in this western culture to the point of our very own demise and destruction.
    despite this being by design by the people who run this planet, this is our fault and it’s not our job to play victim.
    it starts with the youth, and it is our job to show them.
    props to you for spreading awareness on this topic brotha

    I agree. But false-confidence can also come from "knowing how to fight", so don't become prideful and start arguing with people you shouldn't even argue with to begin with. Now-days people get offended by words and want to hurt and harm you physically, which is wrong but don't start something. Self-defense is only when other attacks you physically first in my opinion. Not over some words that triggers you.

    • @aanghel

    Great list of survival skills that all of us could learn/practice to become more well-rounded. I would love to see a video about skills every person needs for enhancement.
    For us, life is about both survival and enhancement. Most of our survival needs have been met, which isn’t to say that these 10 skills are invaluable, because, society may not always operate in the way it does now. But since it does, what skills does a person need to learn and practice in order to become the greatest version of themselves? What practical systems can we perform in order to access our highest potential?

I also do pressure sparring all the time. I think I have somewhat good understanding of standup aspect of fighting. I would say it depends on your starting point. If you are big, athletic dude with natural fighting instinct you will have much easier time. In general I would say you will get your ass kicked for 3 month stratight, after 5-6 months you will start fighting back, after 8 months you will get more confident in yourself and after a year and 2-3 months you will be able to handle yourself against most people of your size and weight. Just remember real fights can be much nastier than fights in the cage/ring. Be smart, be strapped

    Permaculture is number #1 which some of your points cross over with. If (more likely when) society and the environment collapse most of these skills may extend your life for a few days or weeks at most but will not do anymore than that. If we get to the point where you need to use these skills it's already game over. I feel a lot of what you're saying and agree that they're all valuable, however I also feel your ignorance of how the future will unfold and the stability we are dependent on (Simply look at Deep Adaption, XR, IPCC predictions.). For example for hunting.... there's 700x more humans since our hunter gatherer era and there's >90% less wild animals, this wont work. We're in really complicated times that will require far more than this from us Men.

  • @saaleha6603
    @saaleha6603 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    100% agree. Learn both striking and grappling and become well rounded and learn to use your environment so you can adapt to your opponent.
    -I think people should take time out to go and work on farms and actually try to learn about agriculture and animal rearing/foraging/learning about plants ect and how to use them as medicine. Times are changing and we need to learn to be one step ahead for survival purposes.
    - Currently learning about Prophetic Sunnah Medicine and diet 👌🏽 pretty awesome SubhanAllah.

    • @saaleha6603
      @saaleha6603 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@aanghel Oh gosh alot, and so far still learning 😄
      As a quick summary... Its a looong discussion lol... it's a great guidance for nutritional health aswell as for mental, physical and spiritual health too. Allah says with every disease that is sent, a cure is also sent.
      -For example we already know honey has alot of benefits for healing and beneficial health usages .. (I use it at work for wound healing, 😄 great time to give dawah to patients)..
      - Using black seed /great for immune system, has antioxidant purposes/ circulation/detoxing the body ect
      - olives/ vinegar/using the miswak/ barley/ spirulina/ kelp... Lots of natural foods and herbs that are talked about in hadith quran and sunnah that people really over look, or don't know about or use it minutely. I think as Muslims this is a sunnah we should revive as unfortunately it's something we run to for a quick fix when Western medicine fails us especially in Asian culture 😅🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Prevention for diseases is key.
      It is reported that the Prophet said: “Cure is in three (things): a drink of honey, a slash of the knife used in Hijamah and branding (cauterizing) by fire. And I prohibit my nation from cauterizing.” - Sahih in Bukhari
      Hijama is amazing for healing and detoxing the body. Especially if its wet hijama. Erm.. There's alot more to talk about with aloooot of detail 😂 I'll add a link which is similar to the book I have at home 😊 www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.muslim-library.com/dl/books/English-Prophetic-Medicine-Herbalism.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwic_uyv0dL2AhXUVsAKHSuqA_kQFnoECEIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0x9m6SBooDJay7iNGbw2Y_

Since upon the plain of uncreated infinity I am building, building the tower of ecstasy, I have no time for building houses. Since upon the steppe of the void of truth I am breaking, breaking the savage fetter of suffering, I have no time for ploughing family land. Since at the bourn of unity ineffable I am subduing, subduing the demon-foe of self, I have no time for subduing angry foe-men. Since in the palace of mind which transcends duality I am waiting, waiting for spiritual experience as my bride, I have no time for setting up house. Since in the circle of the Buddhas of my body I am fostering, fostering the child of wisdom, I have no time for fostering snivelling children. • @aanghel

      Hold off on sparring until you learn the basics bro. Isn’t smart to spar this early on. And you gotta find training partners who know what they’re doing and know how to control their power so they can do only 5% power when doing “strikes” to the face.

    I'm training to fight with my brain. Be assertive. Be articulate and quick thinking. Become more intelligent and build a happier life.
    Keep learning how to fight and forage. I'll be looking over you from my ivory tower.
    I believe in possessing physicality. I'm 6ft and 110kg. I can pick up 260kg off the floor. I don't mix with scum who want to fight. And crack heads are deterred because I look formidable.

    I really don’t see how these are “must have” skills for men in todays world. Some yes, but others? Knowing how to fight, definitely. Being able to protect yourself and loved ones is a must have. But learning how to fight animals? Foraging and hunting? Must have? Why? Swimming in the ocean? Why is this a necessary skill? Also fishing with a net and spear? Why not use a fishing pole? It’s way easier, embrace technology.
