I never thought of using builder gel for the base , very creative, however, I did do dip using base coat before. Got that method of using base coat from another TH-camr, now I have to try the builder gel
I don't know why more people do not talk about the dip method with acrylic powder and gel base, I've been doing this for years. I can't do acrylic nails normally but I love the sturdiness of them and doing dip with gel makes them last so much longer. Beautiful set by the way!!!

YAY for dipping with gel!! So much easier if you are slow. These acrylics are so pretty but I can't with the price and as a DIY dipper, I do not need that much of one color but they are so pretty. Builder is great to encapsulate the chunky glitter dips/acrylics too. I love this mani so much. That nude-ish clear is gorgeous with those acrylic shades
Thats how I do my gluing of the tips. Put the light in my mouth. Its hard doing it by yourself especially your non-dominate hand. You always do an awesome job. I'm so proud of you. Keep up the good work. Take care
Do you have to use an extra little flashlight? Could I just do it with my regular LED nail lamp? I will buy one if I have to, this method sounds great!

I love all of Notpolish powders they have such beautiful colors and their new OMGlitters are gorgeous but I cant stand the smell of monomer I'm strictly Polygel & Builder gel now although I do own some acrylics I just dont use them BUT this is an idea to get some use out of them.
My son complains when I soak off, about the acetone smell, so I know monomer would really bother him. I’m not sure if I am allergic to that, or acid primer, but I can’t wear acrylics anymore. Polygel, builder gel and gel polish only for me, too.
These came out beautifully! I've never tried dipping but this looks simple and fun! I might have to try it. You managed to keep them so sleek and thin.....I'm actually amazed! I've been using base coat to glue my tips since you tried it a few months back. I was really sceptical but I think it works better than glue, and I love that it doesn't damage my nails like glue can and it just soaks right off. I did a set on my best friend a few months ago when her nail tech was out of town. The tech couldn't believe how well the nails were applied and that I didn't use glue. Actually kinda funny because I introduced my friend to the tech I'd gone to for 10 years. She knows I've been doing my own nails for a couple years and said she would have never known a professional tech hadn't done my friends nails. That was awesome because the first time I did her nails it was very obvious that I wasn't very good LOL! I learned so much from you. Finding you was such a blessing to me and literally changed everything. There just weren't any gel techs on YT and I would watch acrylic videos and try and translate that to gel. That was fine for things like prep and filing and design work, but not for application. When everyone else was doing the lazy girl method, you stayed true to your art and the traditional application method, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that and how much you helped and influenced me!!! I freaking love you girly! I'm so proud of you and I've truly loved watching your channel grow. I know there are great things ahead for you and I believe in you so much. Ok.....enough mushy shi+ LOL! This set is BOMB and I absolutely love how they came out!
Awww yayyy. Girl that's exactly how I learned as well watching all the youtube videos about acrylic and just applied it towards hard gel. There was only one channel that I would watch all the time for hard gel which was the Nail hub but other then that idk didn't really find alot on it. But now I see more people coming out with Hard gel videos so it's a good thing for other people to get different techniques from different people. And I agree glues the types down with base gel is definitely the way to go. 🥰

I'm finally on time for once! 😆 I use the same method for attaching my tips. I was using nail glue but my husband would come looking for super glue for something and be messy and end up gluing the top on so I just switched lol. I love this method of using acrylic powders with gel! I see so many pretty acrylic or dip powders and now I can use them! Can you tell me what kind of gel brush you're using here? It looks so petite and perfect for what I'm wanting!

Love the set and love Not Polish, so finally milled that they’re the best acrylic for dip. I’ll do a layer of basecoat and then dip in or spoon it over I don’t use any of those systems . Also you can sugar any color acrylic too 💜💗💜
I have a terrible time glueing tips on, I am intrigued to try using UV gel instead!!! I have successfully used this method before, with builder gel or base coat. It’s a great way to use acrylic powder if you’re sensitive to monomer, or just hate strong smells!
Definitely going to try a method like this because I have acrylics but barely use them because my husband can't stand the odor that comes from the monomer. I know there is odorless monomer but don't want to spend the extra money right now since I barely use acrylics. These are very pretty I wish you would have use flowers or decals or stickers instead of all that bling but that's just my opinion lol. They are beautiful no matter what and love how the color was pastel. I think the colors are a lot deeper when you use it with liquid. Great job as always Lissette! 🥰❣💅👏👏👏

I ombré using acrylic powder/dip over a gel polish. I have mixed dip powder into hard gels, I like to do that with my dip glitters for a better application! I love your nails!
lovely nails and cool idea, does the acrylic powder effect the nail strength in any way or is it a non issue with it encased by the gel? Got a ton of acrylic powders I haven't been using since the monomers kept setting off my asthma, so this gives me a great way to use them up.

there’s no strength in base coat. if it was short nails I was doing then I wouldn’t worry about it. still suggest using builder gel for the strength and apex of the nails with this length.

I ombré using acrylic powder/dip over a gel polish. I have mixed dip powder into hard gels, I like to do that with my dip glitters for a better application! I love your nails!

lovely nails and cool idea, does the acrylic powder effect the nail strength in any way or is it a non issue with it encased by the gel? Got a ton of acrylic powders I haven't been using since the monomers kept setting off my asthma, so this gives me a great way to use them up.
when I did it I didn't have any issuse at all with the structure of the nails 🥰

Omg! I Definitely will be trying this. Love the base coat for applying nails. I saw you do it and was amazed at how great it adhered. I even purchased the black lamp you showed in the other video. ok I already ordered an over head single nail lamp. but I will check yours out.
You can use base coat with the dip system. It then makes it able to soak off.
there’s no strength in base coat. if it was short nails I was doing then I wouldn’t worry about it. still suggest using builder gel for the strength and apex of the nails with this length.

I hold that flash lamp in my mouth too! Babygirl nails told me she got her holder from Amazon. It's actually a nail polish holder but it's holds that little light perfectly. I have it ordered but haven't got yet it was like $8
