That’s painful watching a bearing removal like that. Support the shaft in a couple of wooden v-blocks, protect the armature from a hit with a piece of plywood and wallop the outer race. SNAP! Remove all the pieces, chisel in hand on inner race, wallop the inner race once on each side and done. Bearing races are extremely brittle.
How did you get the Welder Bracket and Exciter Frame off to get to the bearing? I know that the exciter armature and exciter field coils are pretty simple to take off but it looks like the bracket fits tight on the bearing. Also, how did you put the rocker back on and not end up rolling the rack?

You are right! We had an shop friend help us with these videos. He was very creative and tried to make if more fun then it had to be. We now have a nice camera and a gimbal now. We just haven’t found the time to make new videos. Coming soon though!
Pounding on the new bearing to install it is poor practice not to mention you have just reduced the life span of the bearing, use an induction heater to heat that bearing and it will slide on with no pounding
