17:27 The jingle used isn't necessarily the 'ARD' jingle, though it was a jingle used by the ARD member broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) as a radio interval signal. The ARD ident in the 70's would occasionally do this with variants of the ident having other broadcasters' jingles playing too.
33:34 this is a fanmade, the voice i believe is a TTS, i think there's screenshots of the real ID online but it's lost rn. there is a promo of the channel during this time though
15:25 I saw a mistake when it said Glasgow is in England as a location for Scottish Televison but besides that, this video is great and I gonna give it a like
8:00 What an incredible intro 22:15 70s Vremya song but happy. 23:21 inb4 people who say that this was used on the 50s Indonesian EAS (which is not) 25:38 I always wanted to watch XHTV before 2010, since then it became an only news channel. 26:07 XHMT used the same leitmotif for all of its IDs at the beginning of the 80s. 26:26 One of the few remnants of the years prior to IMEVISION, sadly much of the footage before '93 has been wiped out. 27:01 So Mexico wasn't the only country to use pre-Hispanic art for its IDs. 33:33 I agree that this looks and sounds fanmade, without any analog artifacts. 35:18 The Pastricka song is really beautiful 37:09 I think this works better than their attempt to make a news intro. 37:15 I actually thought that because of being recorded through DXing, it sounded weird. It's still as weird in good quality. (And I think the 80s ID was more creative than the modern one)
Great remake of a classic that started it all! I’m quite flattered that I was able to help contribute in a way to this nice compilation of IDs from the early 80s.. I do enjoy this formatting better, as compared to the one used in your earlier videos.

It would be Tomás el Tren o Tomás la Locomotora. And no, Uruguay's Canal 4 Monte Carlo wasn't owned by Grupo Globo, it's just good ol' "who gives a monkey's toss about copyright" attitude of Latin America.
There is this little confusion. The Monte Carlo channel in Uruguay plagiarized some id's from Globo, but as they bought several soap operas from the Brazilian channel, I believe that plagiarism was allowed. At the same time, in the 1980s, Globo bought the Italian-speaking TeleMontecarlo, transforming it into a Monegasque Globo.
In fact, it is not a News intro, but it is a propaganda of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority because it was under the control of the government at that time (dictatorship).
1983 is now my favorite year! since i am a mario fan, 1983 is known for the release year of mario bros, which has the eponymous characters, mario and luigi! 44:26 sounds like the sbs/channel 0-28 jingle but it's more likely a coincidence
27:38 This ID is from 81-82, and was used in the 90s only to close broadcasts 27:53 Sure they brought a technological leap, but actually all previous networks already offered foreign shows long before, we're 3rd world but not that level 😅
44:43 (CH5 Thailand) That's a PSA about saving energy (text translates to "Don't leave lights on unnecessarily.") Real ID is at that start of th-cam.com/video/0QYN1tdVQTU/w-d-xo.html (you can hear a voice being played in reverse, possibly someone in the studio rewinding a tape and a mic was left on)
23:48 this static ident was used only in 1990s, and probably earlier but there isn't much evidence at all as we have almost no any footage from regional kazakh tv from 1970s/1980s btw station name you wrote is wrong, at that time so-called "Saryarqa TV" was named as "Karaganda Television (Studio)" (nowadays it is "Saryarqa"), it was broadcasting from Karaganda, not from Tselinograd, because they had its own TV station (Tselinograd Television)
The 1983 NBC theme, in 1:27, have been copied by Brazilian businessman Silvio Santos in your TV station, the Brazilian TV System (portuguese: Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão - SBT).
This case is not a copy. SBT was a longtime customer of NBC series and films, so the American channel offered campaigns for SBT a few years after its launch in the USA. The Brazilian channel bought two or three campaigns and adapted them between the 80s and early 90s.
30:35 - Bandeirantes actually had 2 new idents in 1983. One was that one you put wrongly as 1982. The other was aired before, and just for a bit. It was planned to be aired for a longer time, but the station director had a heart attack when he got a promotion, and then someone got his chair and asked Cyro del Nero for a new ident, this being that 2nd 1983 one.
4:20 (haha) The logo that was abused in Logo Editing (I did retire from that god-awful community in 2021), and more recently, got the same shit the TVOKids Logo Bloopers community did to the TVOKids logo.
cool logo review time😎 *- United States -* 1:10: this is somewhat of a banger 4:20: the logo that fell victim to many logo kids effecting the hell out of this 4:49: fake 3d detected 10:39: this is a unrelated review but this channel really had the good music 11:09: this sounds like some japanese jazz fusion on the background *- Canada -* sorry guys but by far there's no commentary as i just simply found the logos a bit too boring to my taste. *- Iceland -* 14:11: alright this is somewhat decent *- United Kingdom -* 14:34: epic synthesizers 15:15: epic synthesizers 2: even way more epic than before *- Europe -* 16:05: the intro was somehow weird as hell 16:23: ayo this is a banger too 16:46: i do hear some roland drum machines in this 17:37-17:45: the return of the false 3D animation (now with a logo that isn't centered at all) 18:10: my eyes literally hurt and literally feel weird after seeing this but this logo is still decent to be honest 19:38: epic synthesizers 3: you really thought the saga was gone after this? 20:15: *patriotism intensifies* 20:29: this is somewhat kinda futuristic 20:40: i've never seen this logo but it's totally weird seeing this, probably cause that old "TV" in a tall rectangle symbol isn't here 20:57: rai surely had some relaxing and epic symphonies for their logos before the futuristic sphere-cube and triangle era 21:34: epic waiting music *- The Warsaw Pact -* 22:14: i think i have heard this piano sound before, were the composers of this song the ones who ALSO composed the vremya intro back in the 70's? 23:10: i like to think this this specific video was recorded somewhere in 1985-87. 23:21: this sounds creepy as hell 24:40-25:08: epic monarch entrance music *- Mexico -* 25:38: this somewhat kinda looks like the logo you'd see on a TV that's located in a really abandoned liminal space hallway 25:57: i don't know if this is actual 3d *- Guatemala -* No commentary *- Nicaragua -* 26:51: ok despite their dictatorship i guess this logo totally looks cool as hell, definetly looks like some american local TV station logo *- Costa Rica -* No commentary *- Panama -* 27:25: are you sure this is from 1983?? *- Cuba -* No commentary *- Dominican Republic -* 27:38: does somehow kinda remind me of some brazilian logos around the same time 27:53: ok i totally see some american studio making this logo *- Trinidad And Tobago -* No commentary *- South America -* 28:52: damn look at those tall buildings 29:00: this logo looks decent despite it being a static ident in this part 29:58: THIS IS BADASS. 30:31: the intro totally sounds mysterious in terms of music alright i totally give up on this one
You live in Wisconsin? Me too! But I have Minnesota tv in here instead of Wisconsin's because I live close to the border of Minnesota. I live in Somerset, WI and I have KTCA, WCCO, KSTP, KMSP and KARE
You used only a fragment of 1983 opening ident of RAI! Also, this ident is a version used before 1985, when RAI logo became 3D and their channels rebranded to have it, but these logos didn't had the 3D symbols (e.g. Rai 1 had blue ball) as part of their official logos until 1988.
You also missed the TP2's one, which, like, at this time, TP1, also had a still ident, using the same logo as latter, but with digit changed to two. In 1983, it also had a secondary striped logo like that: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Logo_TVP2_z_lat_1981-1987.png.
24:34 - Telewizja Gdańsk actually used a different interval signal, as seen here: th-cam.com/video/JkS6E07C9fo/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared The signal heard in this video was used on Radio Gdańsk.
Is it possible in futur you put a kind of mix of worlwide tv about infamous 9/11 wtc terrorist attack & recently the infamous putin-stalin dictator war attack on february 24 2022 ? Thanx in advance
Many of these cheap, international, conputer-generated idents with the clichéd synth sounds and music remind me of cheesy VHS-distributor idents from the 80s
1:01 Is a very strong generic 7:16 Estudio 54 10:00 Uses Monday Night Football-like opening theme 10:25 Too dropped this theme song when they changed their logo to the white letters in an orange background 14:47 One of my all time favorite ITV idents 14:59 Just epic 16:46 Homestar Runner-tier VHS opening music 18:10 Love how it looks 26:26 Correction: In 1984 they dropped this ident out of circulation in favor of a more modern one (th-cam.com/video/ofe7YKcH_ww/w-d-xo.html) where the broadcaster is refered as The Mexican Television Institute 32:20 Love this one 35:18 is art 40:40 Great

btw station name you wrote is wrong, at that time so-called "Saryarqa TV" was named as "Karaganda Television (Studio)" (nowadays it is "Saryarqa"), it was broadcasting from Karaganda, not from Tselinograd, because they had its own TV station (Tselinograd Television)
8:00 You used that remastered version for HBO Iconic ID
30:35 - Bandeirantes actually had 2 new idents in 1983. One was that one you put wrongly as 1982. The other was aired before, and just for a bit. It was planned to be aired for a longer time, but the station director had a heart attack when he got a promotion, and then someone got his chair and asked Cyro del Nero for a new ident, this being that 2nd 1983 one.
42:10 Reminds me the old days when television channel put side commercials below their idents.
39:26 That’s Me!
UPDATE ABOUT 16:23:
I FOUND THE SONG IT'S CALLED ALL OF YOU BY JULIO IGLESIAS AND DIANA ROSS!!!!
It's a beautiful song
@@TheIridiumic138 a beautiful song indeed
29:30 has to be the most graphically advanced of the bunch
23:43 - Borat TV. The static ID is "very nice" 😆
4:20 (haha) The logo that was abused in Logo Editing (I did retire from that god-awful community in 2021), and more recently, got the same shit the TVOKids Logo Bloopers community did to the TVOKids logo.
37:00 idk how to say to this startup ident
34:38 EagleVision
12:39 this canNOT be scanimate

42:21 mbc is government-owned
cool logo review time😎
*- United States -*
1:10: this is somewhat of a banger
4:20: the logo that fell victim to many logo kids effecting the hell out of this
4:49: fake 3d detected
10:39: this is a unrelated review but this channel really had the good music
11:09: this sounds like some japanese jazz fusion on the background
*- Canada -*
sorry guys but by far there's no commentary as i just simply found the logos a bit too boring to my taste.
*- Iceland -*
14:11: alright this is somewhat decent
*- United Kingdom -*
14:34: epic synthesizers
15:15: epic synthesizers 2: even way more epic than before
*- Europe -*
16:05: the intro was somehow weird as hell
16:23: ayo this is a banger too
16:46: i do hear some roland drum machines in this
17:37-17:45: the return of the false 3D animation (now with a logo that isn't centered at all)
18:10: my eyes literally hurt and literally feel weird after seeing this but this logo is still decent to be honest
19:38: epic synthesizers 3: you really thought the saga was gone after this?
20:15: *patriotism intensifies*
20:29: this is somewhat kinda futuristic
20:40: i've never seen this logo but it's totally weird seeing this, probably cause that old "TV" in a tall rectangle symbol isn't here
20:57: rai surely had some relaxing and epic symphonies for their logos before the futuristic sphere-cube and triangle era
21:34: epic waiting music
*- The Warsaw Pact -*
22:14: i think i have heard this piano sound before, were the composers of this song the ones who ALSO composed the vremya intro back in the 70's?
23:10: i like to think this this specific video was recorded somewhere in 1985-87.
23:21: this sounds creepy as hell
24:40-25:08: epic monarch entrance music
*- Mexico -*
25:38: this somewhat kinda looks like the logo you'd see on a TV that's located in a really abandoned liminal space hallway
25:57: i don't know if this is actual 3d
*- Guatemala -*
No commentary
*- Nicaragua -*
26:51: ok despite their dictatorship i guess this logo totally looks cool as hell, definetly looks like some american local TV station logo

30:31: the intro totally sounds mysterious in terms of music
alright i totally give up on this one
24:41 This is the Slovak version of the Czechoslovak TV ident.

Great, thank you.
The year gaming almost died has finally been remade!
Grampian Television ident was from January 1st 1982 until December 31st 1999.
37:09 ¿De Dónde Sacaste El Logo De La Televisión Sudanesa De Los 70's-80's?
Lots of static IDs in this one
You live in Wisconsin? Me too! But I have Minnesota tv in here instead of Wisconsin's because I live close to the border of Minnesota. I live in Somerset, WI and I have KTCA, WCCO, KSTP, KMSP and KARE
I live right by the border of Illinois lol. Kenosha to be exact. I have a mix of both Milwaukee and Chicago stations
@@TheIridiumic138 But you don't have Wisconsin tv! But hey, At least you got Milwaukee and Chicago stations

25:57 were do you get it and if you can send me the link please
No,Way 2012? How? 20:15
It became the norm
44:32 This is used in 1984.
Here before 100 views!
The big 3 networks' and HBO's conputer graphics and editing got a lot slicker, but PBS still used the classic 70s ID.
26:54 Teletica ❤❤❤️ 😍😍😍 🚂🚂🚂 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷
I never knew your were from Wisconsin and this is from a fellow Wisconsinite
24:34 - Telewizja Gdańsk actually used a different interval signal, as seen here:
th-cam.com/video/JkS6E07C9fo/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
The signal heard in this video was used on Radio Gdańsk.
That identity from ONCE in Panama, looks like it's ahead of its own time

Can you be request the video: TV Station IDs during 80's in F-major chord music?
Thank you!
the drums in dr's id sound like ost from homestar runner, I mean, it's the same keyboard
I thought i was the only person that thought about that!

44:56
is there a similar video for european channels? 1983?
this video has all of europe, just separated into 3 parts. (NATO, warsaw, and non-aligned)
Is it possible in futur you put a kind of mix of worlwide tv about infamous 9/11 wtc terrorist attack & recently the infamous putin-stalin dictator war attack on february 24 2022 ?
Thanx in advance
I have plans in the future of doing them. However, it will be more difficult considering the amount of footage that has to be gathered.
@@TheIridiumic138 i understand perfectly that

Many of these cheap, international, conputer-generated idents with the clichéd synth sounds and music remind me of cheesy VHS-distributor idents from the 80s

Umm why not add Indonesia?

1:01 Is a very strong generic
7:16 Estudio 54
10:00 Uses Monday Night Football-like opening theme
10:25 Too dropped this theme song when they changed their logo to the white letters in an orange background
14:47 One of my all time favorite ITV idents
14:59 Just epic
16:46 Homestar Runner-tier VHS opening music
18:10 Love how it looks
26:26 Correction: In 1984 they dropped this ident out of circulation in favor of a more modern one (th-cam.com/video/ofe7YKcH_ww/w-d-xo.html) where the broadcaster is refered as The Mexican Television Institute
