very creative way to make scale. I have been sculpting scaled tabard for my salamander for quite some time now and this method is likely to improve my speed. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for making this video, not only is it helpful for other than this, fantasy stuff, but it is also helpful for me who’s looking to make some heavily armoured kwarezmian war elephants
Lol I actually had just came up with an idea to do a serpentine chaos knight yesterday and am looking for ways to do scales. So you gave me some good ideas, although I think if you are doing a large area, it would be faster to use a wire cutter (something like a cheese cutter) and cut a cross hatch patern with only a few presses so you have more time to sculpt the scales in before the Green stuff starts to harden. Thanks for the ideas.
Might be silly, but i made some scales from foodpackageing cardstock, took the thinnest one i could find. Then i cut scales from it... and glued it on an used amazon gift card (credit card), to get the scale pattern... then used clear lacquer to seal it. And when i need some scales i can put on a thin layer of silicone spray... roll out a super thin layer of milliput (i have not tried this with greenstuff) and then used a silicone shaper to bring scales out from underneath. Then going over everything with a wet brush. As milliput can be dissolved with water, this covers any potential holes and whatnot. And i also have made a super thin scale pattern just by brushing on milliput with water. But that is really fragile. I have to try your method, i am just not sure where i would get such a square bit. I have to try the clingfilm too.
Great novel. lol some interesting ideas to be fair. Milliput is great, we like to use supper fine milliput as out filler. Instead of silicone spray gloss varnish can also be applied to make things more solid and smooth.
@@BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio Milliput superfine is nice and all, but i found that you can just use regular milliput and put some water on it.. that turns it into a slurry. and it will dry normally, once the water evaporates.
Yes Dodge now you know what faces a Dental Technician as he creates Teeth for going into someone's mouth. By the way how is the job creation post coming on, any candidates forth coming , wanting to work for Nought? Take care and fiddle on.
I would hate sculpting teeth more, as for candidates we are holding off on that atm, it is something we should get round to doing. But with covid an all that probably not the best time.

We are glad it will help speed things up. After doing this I know how time consuming it can be.
