You’ve captured the greatest of all time there (Jimi) and the greatest living guitarist there (Jeff). although he’s not a favourite of mine in the same league I’d have to include Eddie Van Halen in terms of your ‘greatest sounds from a guitar’ comment. Right on. Jeff and Jimi were mutual admirers. They met a few times. And Jeff mentions one time Jimi played his Les Paul "Oxblood", up side down, obviously! With Jeff on bass! They are both innovators, and powerful and subtle players, so great 👍
Jeff's great sounds were happening before the arrival of Jimi. He was a hotshot around London, renowned for feedback, creating loops by hooking up two delay machines, etc. And with the Yardbirds he introduced so many catalysts that led to the development of whole genres...raga-rock, psych, garage, punk, heavy blues, hard rock, funk rock, jazzy rock (minus horns), rock fusion... Listen to the original version (i.e. recording, not Ronnie Scott's video) of 'Beck's Bolero'. It was the catalyst for both the Jeff Beck Group and Led Zeppelin (Page and John Paul Jones are both on the tune). Though Hendrix claimed to have only heard one Yardbirds tune w/Beck prior to arriving in London in late '66, he was soon a fan. Indeed, when touring with the Experience in America in '68, Billy Gibbons (now ZZ Top, then w/support band the Moving Sidewalks) said Hendrix would get everyone into his room to listn to Beck's 'Truth' album and was often asking, 'How'd he do that?' Jeff was the Jimi before Jimmy James became Jimi Hendrix.

Jeff was one of the greatest players of all time and moved into the world of jazz a.k.a. John McLaughlin and was just light years ahead of most rock players. ROCK IN PEACE. This is a person that will be greatly missed in the musical community.🎼🎸

A bunch of my friends are in Vegas to hear them tonight. They've got front row seats!! I'd have given most anything to get to go but no way could I afford it .... but am so glad they got to!! Johnnydepps concert finished November 12th, 2022 and he has been busy doing films and other projects and art shows and I hope taking time to heal from not only amber but Joelle rich toooo . Both using him sadly for his money and fame. No one deserves that not even him . He is supposed to be touring UK for Hollywood vampire tours next year sometime in 2023. Would love for him to come to San Antonio Texas and a reasonably priced tickets so I could go and seeee him . That as a huge fan my entire life and survivor myself toooo would be a dream come true for me

Saw them at the Louisville Palace and Beck shined🤩 I was only disappointed he didn’t introduce each of his phenomenal band members. I saw Beck open for SRV in 1989 but, at that time I was all about that rockin’ blues. I bought my ticket before Depp joined the tour and don’t know exactly when it was announced that he would be here. I only found out myself a few days prior but sold out soon after. So, I was there for a catch up, as it were, hoping for a complete Jeff Beck evening. I did watch the entire JD V AH trial as I am a fan of his and was happy for him. Consequentially, I’ve watched countless videos of the UK, Europe tour so, no real surprises there. Not to sound like a total killjoy, I am happy for the support shown to Johnny (sell out shows) and, had dropped $100 for the ticket knowing he was on the tour, I would have been completely satisfied. I haven’t listened to entire “18” album and am completely unfamiliar with most material they cover (save Lennon, of course) and will definitely give it a close listen now. By the way, anybody know where I can see an uncut version of the Louisville show?

Jeff was one of the greatest players of all time and moved into the world of jazz a.k.a. John McLaughlin and was just light years ahead of most rock players. ROCK IN PEACE. This is a person that will be greatly missed in the musical community.🎼🎸

Johnnydepps concert finished November 12th, 2022 and he has been busy doing films and other projects and art shows and I hope taking time to heal from not only amber but Joelle rich toooo . Both using him sadly for his money and fame. No one deserves that not even him . He is supposed to be touring UK for Hollywood vampire tours next year sometime in 2023. Would love for him to come to San Antonio Texas and a reasonably priced tickets so I could go and seeee him . That as a huge fan my entire life and survivor myself toooo would be a dream come true for me

Saw them at the Louisville Palace and Beck shined🤩 I was only disappointed he didn’t introduce each of his phenomenal band members.
I saw Beck open for SRV in 1989 but, at that time I was all about that rockin’ blues. I bought my ticket before Depp joined the tour and don’t know exactly when it was announced that he would be here. I only found out myself a few days prior but sold out soon after. So, I was there for a catch up, as it were, hoping for a complete Jeff Beck evening.
I did watch the entire JD V AH trial as I am a fan of his and was happy for him. Consequentially, I’ve watched countless videos of the UK, Europe tour so, no real surprises there. Not to sound like a total killjoy, I am happy for the support shown to Johnny (sell out shows) and, had dropped $100 for the ticket knowing he was on the tour, I would have been completely satisfied. I haven’t listened to entire “18” album and am completely unfamiliar with most material they cover (save Lennon, of course) and will definitely give it a close listen now.
By the way, anybody know where I can see an uncut version of the Louisville show?
