Lol I'm pretty consistently having these on lately when I'm about to sleep. They even kinda force their way into that role because when I let videos go on auto it often ends up here or the gaming historian and I guess as I don't turn them off TH-cam think I love watching the same ones again and again rather than selecting something I haven't seen yet. But yeah it doesn't matter that much because of the half or full sleep I'm in while they're on so i probably didn't pay attention to all of it and might see some stuff I completely missed before. However I might start to queue up a few videos instead of relying on autoplay to get stuff I haven't been bombarded with in recent memory to mix things up a bit. Still alot of game sack videos though, just fresh ones, as I easily find many youtubers annoying so it's distracting me from my peaceful snoozing but as of yet I haven't found anything to be bothered by with these. Speaking of, I'm going to sleep now!

Part of his reason for leaving is that he felt his heart wasn't in it as much, and he didn't want the show to suffer for that... Also he wanted to spend more time with his family. All that said, personally I'm getting tired of every other comment saying they miss Dave... We know. Thankfully Joe takes it in stride, and has kept the channel going strong. I'd much rather have Joe going it alone than no Game Sack at all.
Snatcher was the first game of its kind that I remember playing, thanks to a friend who loaned it to me. It's a great story, loaded with references to all kinds of SciFi and pop culture stuff, and it's just fun to play through. However, without The Justifier the shooting parts can be a little difficult, and can take a few tries if you're forced to use the controller like I was. Man, did I die A LOT playing thought that the first time or what?!?!? I love the compilation episodes. Thanks for all the great memories!
Wow, I remember the Strider discs, but had no idea they were reversed! I was so confused why 2 looked so much less cutting edge compared to the first, and now it makes sense, thanks Dave from the past!

Joe is great and he clearly did most of the work because the quality videos keep coming after Dave left. But Dave added some flavor that I miss...a ying and yang if you will. I miss Dave too.

The technical info on the Neo Geo’s wrong. The CDZ’s 2x drive’s a myth: it just had more cache compared to the standard Neo Geo CD. Which is the reason why older (and smaller) games didn’t benefit that much from the upgrade, unlike later titles which would usually load around 40% faster.

Warhawk was an awesome game, it had alternate endings as well which was great at the time. Being able to disengage the camera and do fly-by was so impressive at the time. I tried playing it again as well and couldn't get into it, felt long and repetative so I guess tastes evolved.
2:04 it wasn't a heating issue, you turned it upside down so that the lens would use gravity to sit flush and align the laser perpendicular to the disk so that it would read. over time the plastic track for the lens would wear down and begin to sag.

Samurai Showdown was one of the funnest ever fighting games to exist. I remember the thrill when I actually had four quarters to spend on the multi-game NeoGeo cabinets playing this one.

Best game I ever played on ps1 was Urban Chaos where you are a cop in a action rpg style open world sand box not to be confused with another game with the same title. The game was brilliant and you go around killing or arresting criminals and investigating the appearance of strange men in black. Story line and gameplay was truly epic!
You guys STILL got the old school in YOU!!! Side-note about the PS1 system: You could purchase a Cooling fan kit for the side vent that actually clipped onto the side vent and it would pull the heat OUT of the PS1. I think Mad Catz used to make them a very LONG time ago. It was powered by a very small, but sturdy AC Adapter. Love the show; you guys are whacky, smooth and still funny. Always GOOD with the FULL information as well!!! GAME SACK: ALways up to something technical!!! ^_^

I purchased mine for the some total of 299.99...It was still going strong...I have found memories of 2 players of Star Control 2, Return Fire, Starfighter, Gex series, Pataank, PO'd, etc....
I remember really liking Neo-Geo back in the day, they're arcade cabinets always seemed to have cool games in them. I never had much money so I didn't really get to try many of them back then. Getting ready to change that once my new PC shows up. 😉👍

And to a certain extent, how much the strategy of the board game added to the first person shooter in the era of Doom. It's basically about finding choke points you can use to prevent yourself and your brother marines from being overwhelmed by the horde. Genestealers are deadly in close combat so ideally you want to kill them before they ever get near you. But it is, at least, not a *guaranteed* instant death if they ge into close combat. At heart, it's a strategy game that LOOKS like a first person shooter
The 1st 2nd controller released for the PS was the Dual analog controller! The 2 sticks were just plastic with dips/grooves in the top. Didnt have the rubber grips on there. They couldn't do the dualshock cause Nintendo had the copyright for the rumble pack. I got one the night SF ex plus alpha cane out. We needed a 2nd controller and that was the only one they had. We had traded enough stuff in to get both. The lil light when sticks were active had a green and red setting. What a life time ago!😮🤯
I remember 'Total Eclipse' as have a monster truck level, or they used the same maps for some game that was nearly identical, but with a truck instead of flying, and thak you! I kept forgetting the name guardian war, but that game was great, never beat it, since I only played at a friends house, but it was good

The first "Metal Gear Solid" game was released on PSX. Also, the first Metal Gear was on MSX2. The NES port didn't involve Hideo Kojima and has some major changes.

This is great for when you are grinding levels or gear. Awesome to break up the monotony of a final fantasy grind session.

I got one the night SF ex plus alpha cane out. We needed a 2nd controller and that was the only one they had. We had traded enough stuff in to get both.

I remember 'Total Eclipse' as have a monster truck level, or they used the same maps for some game that was nearly identical, but with a truck instead of flying, and thak you! I kept forgetting the name guardian war, but that game was great, never beat it, since I only played at a friends house, but it was good

Neo Drift out is one of those racing games you just feel dopamine rushing out your brain when you are one with the game.
Anyone who has the opportunity/money to do so should play Lunar , I’m in the middle of beating the first one now . it’s the first RPG I have ever been able to play for more than five minutes, Occasionally it will have a somewhat long cinematic that looks great.
One of my favorite jrpgs. Sequel is awesome too

The first "Metal Gear Solid" game was released on PSX. Also, the first Metal Gear was on MSX2. The NES port didn't involve Hideo Kojima and has some major changes.
