Before even playing FF14 and getting to Shadowbringers, I played FF3 on Famicom and DS. Both versions have the theme set the stage. The start of an adventure. A looming air of nothingness. A song of hope. The blank slate of original party or the story of orphans making their own path through the world.
Back when he was writing music for FFs, Uematsu-san was an absolute master at writing great harmonies and catchy basslines. His greatness didn't start with Super Famicom/SNES. It refined then, yes... but his god-tier talent was evident ever since FF 1.
ahhh, beautiful, i love this song so much, i remember getting out of that first cave and then hearing this complicated song on the world map and it was so pretty
no way! Igusa has been a personal favorite guitarist to listen to while i study and then i find out he did a cover of my favorite ff song just as i start learning it.
Still one of my favorite FF songs. FFIII has that somber tone to the music that really resonates with me, especially with the 8-bit versions of the songs. This cover is excellent, it's so smooth and relaxing!
