    Def going to have to look at the limiter and clipper too

    I really like how you sped up this process and just jumped from Sound to Sound, but shoes you creating each sound for the drums 3:30 - 4:30

      Yessir! It’s a game changer for real when it comes to transparency and your transients. Using that clipper lets them drums cut thru better.

    • @amirperrymusic
      @amirperrymusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A good place to start is the bpm you choose. Try 140-150. Another good thing to try is to replicate some of your favorite songs by copying the drum pattern and adding a totally different melody on top.

    Your sonics are so good dude! Props big time. On the master bus clipper are you hitting it pretty hard? I use FL studio for my beats and it sounds like you’re getting that same sound but out of pro tools which is hard to do!

    • @amirperrymusic
      @amirperrymusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man! The secret for me is making sure my levels are pretty good before they hit the master bus. Gain staging is important. It allows me to push the clipper a little bit harder than most without it sounding too distorted.

    • @amirperrymusic

      Good question. I would say it took me a couple months to get it all the way down and be comfortable with producing in it. Before that, I was using it for recording though.

    Question what's the difference between using a maximizer on a master bus or an expander ? Compared to clipper?

    • @amirperrymusic
      @amirperrymusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A clipper works by clipping the loudest parts of your mix at whatever level you set which is going to be 0db when using it on master. A maximizer works by increasing the loudness of a track and at the same time sets a ceiling for its peak level to prevent clipping. The method in which they achieve loudness is different and you’ll notice the audible difference.

    every time i try and make beats on pro tools my shit is quiet asf yet still is somehow clipping balls on every single meter i don’t understand what i’m doing wrong, recording shit into pro tools is fine but for some reason midi is barely audible yet still somehow never falling below 0 db

    • @amirperrymusic
      @amirperrymusic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What interface are you using? It could be something with the way your system is calibrated. How is it reading on your master channel? If that has healthy levels, its most likely some hardware issue.
