He is a hammer but somehow is still underrated, he is gonna be a really tough out at big tens and especially ncaas since he isn't cutting near as much weight, making weight 3 days in a row is much easier and really benefits these elite guys.
@@robertmoylan9950 maybe, he was quite good. Can’t believe our collective quarantine started about three years ago today. What a miserable time that was. Looking forward to the NCAA’s this week. I think RBY beats Fix again.
Didn't he beat Spencer Lee twice? He's looking like one of those boxers who loses every 8th fight, but none of the undefeated titleholders want their agents to book a fight against him no matter what.
This weight class is the most stacked I've ever seen. Especially once the guys from the Olympics come back. They'll have more depth than like 5 other weight classes combined.
Not sure if that taped up leg had anything to do with things, but RBY's motion was off. If he had motion all throughout I doubt this match is that close. Great match by Seabas too. Can't wait for ncaas.
RBY adapted a new style after getting beat by Desanto. Came back and wrestled with his arm back that Desanto uses a lot for a set up and has now beat Desanto twice. RBY will learn from this and adapt once again. He has a huge wrestling IQ for a sophomore. Nationals will be the test. He couldn’t make it past the semis last year.
CJ B I don’t think Desanto or RBY will be 3 or 4 because Chas tucker of Cornell and Micky Phillipi of Pitt went undefeated in their conferences and have less losses than Desanto and RBY, even though their schedule was not as strong.
Everyone keeps saying I’m dumb for putting Rivera at #1 seed now. People started attacking me saying I didn’t know rankings and stuff lol but to me there can be no other way unless they do Rivera dirty. There argument was that no matter what that if a #5 beats a #1 in the semis that it still doesn’t justify the #5 bumping to the #1 spot. Dude beat the #1 and #2 at the Big tens before Nationals. Maybe I’m wrong but I doubt it.
William Balentine Rivera will be the 1 seed as he avenged his loss to gross and his other loss was an injury default, which he avenged anyway. The only person who may be the 1 seed is Tucker from Cornell as he went undefeated but I don’t think he will because he didn’t beat anyone ranked higher than 8.
@@williambalentine5173 they would maybe be right if the 5 seed had like 4 or 5 losses on the season and the 1 seed only had one loss but that isn't the case. Rivera will be the number 1 seed.
Matt9003 Garcia are we talking about the same thing? lol Rivera will be ranked #1 going into Nationals. I’ll come back to this comment later when the new rankings come out. You can’t beat the #1 and #2 kid in your weight class and not be ranked 1st. Do you know how ranks work??

Love this weight class! A returning national champ! Rivera who has beat Lee and when is on can compete with anyone. Then u have the crazy entertaining RBY and the gritty Desanto! Nationals are gonna be fun for this one. A handful of guys could win it. I feel like Austin peeked mid season maybe a little too early and Rivera is peaking right now. Gross and RBY clearly have what it takes as well. So crazy how tough the big ten is The returning national champ gets third. Last year Lee got second in the past then won nationals.
Good Lord the ref let those leg tie ups go way too long imho. I was grabbing my leg before he called potentially dangerous. Sebass lopk like he was ready to do a Kurt Angle Ankle Lock.
Kyle Kallies not as stacked as last years. Still stacked though. Next year will be insane but I have a feeling at least one out of the 3 will bump up to 141.
I think things would have been different at finals. Rby never wrestled him before. I think he just had to go with him once to see how he wrestled. Psu wrestlers beat a lot of guys the second and 3rd time they wrestle
For me this match for Rivera was more impressive because he gave up 2 points just 10 seconds into the match and still was able to win. Not only that but he didn’t give up a single point the rest of the match. Shows the mental strength he had. He’ll need that at NCAA if he wants to win it all.
RBY was def not his self !!!! why cut the guy 2 seconds before you establish riding time ?? and its so obvious he wasn't trying to get free and attack like normal... something tells me he didnt want to be the number 1 seed going into the NCAA. trying to avoid being in the same bracket against someone he fears
I like all the top guys at this weight but kind of feel uneasy about gross he's been in a lot of tight matches lately. Silva and Alvarez wrestled him close too
Dang, Sebastian beat a number 1 again in the Big 10 championships. Congratulations on an awesome job Sebastian.
The #1 he beat in the Big Ten Tourneys are Spencer Lee 2019, Seth Gross 2020
The 2021 ncaa's are going to be ridiculous when all the Olympic red shirts are back
He was ranked #1 when he beat Spencer so no
He was number 2

I’m a huge Penn State fan, but hat’s off to Seabass. Beating Gross and RBY back-to-back is no small feat.
It's a large stinky feat.
Rivera got robbed of a national title by the Covid thing

After he beat Spencer Lee the first time I could see it in him. No doubt after that
Jus imagine what this weight will be like next year when fix and Suriano are back
And Alvarez and Lovett and Phillippi and Austin Gomez this Weight is insane. I wish Pletcher and Wilson stayed. You could call top 16 all American lol

Rivera winning NCAAs
I say he wont, i will take that bet
Whoa
Jhersson Solis nah next time rby wrestles him it’s his match
