I'm with Mr.Cruse on this on " He is a liar". He told him that he was not the person. He lied about the age and the name he should be held accountable. The nerve of the attorney to ask for his sons address. Do your job and find it. It happens to me all the time. My father, who is deceased, name is similar to mine, and they merged our credit reports it was a mess. I still get bills and he passed away in 2009. These companies want to put the debt on anyone.
We’ve seen process servers screw up all the time in courts. They take shortcuts and make assumptions. MIddleton has banished individuals and companies from the county. It isn’t the job of the guy’s dad to help the company or process server.
He doesn’t have to do your job for you! I’m also personally agitated by this because we had it happen to us, although slightly different because my husband is not a Jr/same name but his mom stole his SSN and took out debt, which we got sued for, service went to his moms house and plaintiff won a default judgement, we found out during garnishment and luckily had an attorney help us get it set aside.
I don’t blame that old man for being mad. I’d be mad, too, if he came to my house wanting one of my children who didn’t live there. What’s the matter with this Jordan guy. Why did he serve that old man?!? Too lazy to go back to the lawyer and tell them they had the wrong address?!?
Judge come on, what do you mean he opened this can of worms too!!?? My almost 30 y/o child is an addict and been in and out of active addiction for almost 10 years. We don’t have the same name but she refused more than once to put in an address change from my address she had never lived at and used MY phone number for contracts and debts. I can’t change her address for her, I would go to jail. He did nothing. He doesn’t want anything to do with his grown child’s debts. Process servers need body cams at all times for both parties protection and he is exactly right, he isn’t the one being paid to find people. We can’t be responsible for our adult kids forever. I’m disappointed the judge also said at the end that both had credibility issues but that’s wrong. He had to come to court to prove innocence like too many people have to do now.
And don't name twins with nearly the same name, That "Denneth" "Kenneth" identical twins thing was painful. Idk what their names were but they were something like that pronounced almost identically, they were identical twins and apparently claimed to get the same tattoos. Idiots all through the family.
I know of a family where there were 5 boys all named at the dad, they were I, II, III, IV, V....umm, that's not how that works. It was a nightmare in school!
@@megscrimewatch there was an episode of Crime in Sports where the subject named his kids in that sequence. Nightmare situation for them when they grow up. Especially since so many names get indexed w/o the distinction.
Sad that the judge allowed that lady to eat her huge plate of spaghetti in front of him and everyone on Zoom. Many judges will stop everything when someone is breaking Zoom rules. And one does not eat in the courtroom.
The amount of stuff going on in this zoom hearing is hilarious. People eating, driving, smoking, walking around, kids playing with the camera. I'd love to see judge Manning pop up and see this.
I see by the comments, several of us have had this happen to us. I've been in this man's shoes. I can relate. And the fact that the process server (who does have a difficult job, that's for sure!) went back after being told that he had the wrong person is annoying. "Drop Service" is to ensure he gets paid. He knew he had the wrong person and still "served" the wrong person. Personally, I get a little satisfaction out of the attorney having to do a little work to start the process over, and thought the judge was rather kind to him about it. I wonder....will he contact the process server to get his money back on the improper service??
If you're not charging before any attempts, you're doing it wrong. The charge should be for attempts not completion of service. Also, process servers need to charge more. Too many doing this for $20 - $40 dollars. In Cali you can easily get $150 for the mandatory three attempts.
Ok, this one is going to frustrate me for several reasons, I deal with this same name BS in my job as a property researcher (title insurance), sorry for the flood of comments 😂
Did anyone catch the woman right under Mr. Jordan, by the name of “urban”? Started out half laying down and smoking but by the end she had what looked to be a HUGE wooden fork, extremely long spaghetti with sauce and was basically, I don’t know another way to say it, “smacking her chops” getting ready to eat it?!! WTH?? My gosh! Spaghetti is one of my favorite meals but my stomach is so queasy at this moment that I can’t even begin to think about it! 🤢😳😳
Meg, is there any chance to have you feature Ms. Urban and perhaps her husband, (both were on the screen in different boxes) Sean Urban's case? With her disrespect of the Court, her case might be a hoot! Thanks.
2.45 min in: Oh! A child saw the phone on Tristan Jajo's video and was ready to play with it. Froze when she saw her mom come and get her. Little ones are so cute. 4.11 min in: She made another appearance. Makes me laugh. It would be difficult to attend a zoom conference with little ones around, especially for court. It is a good idea to find a babysitter even if you are just on zoom and at home.
@trekgirl65 I don't know how this would have worked out if he doesn't show up. Presumably, the son could have judt said his father was served, not him. That is not a valid service. If instead the service was on someone unrelated to the defendant, he could judt ignore it and not care about what happened to the defendant.
I believe Richard J.Kruse. What he said was too clear and probable to be a lie. It is just like people to tell other people to solve problems that are dumped on them. So the process server lied on the affidavit about the age. This should just be thrown out as the wrong person was served obviously.
Just don’t show up if it’s not for you. It’s not his job to find anyone, but if he was really worried about it, he could say he has a son with the same name. He knew what the issue was lolz
@@jerkofalltrades5430 I don't care what the process server did, I'm talking about showing up at somebody's house and potentially getting his old ass beat or worse.

Maybe the process server should try tell the difference between 80+ years old and 50 odd years old. Names almost match. Surely that's good enough.

As an amateur genealogist, it’s infuriating. Sometimes they also name more than one kid the same thing if the earlier child died :-/
As a 3rd, I tend to agree. It’s a pain in the butt for everyone.
