It depends on they type of cut. Show crop could take a yr to stand because it’s the long crop. I have a medium crop on mine and it’s been about 6weeks and I’m still taping. I tape for 5 to 6 days then take it down for a day or two then re-tape
Di kailangan i sedate. Kung malikot ang aso kailangan lang ng katulong. Pero sa kalaunan nasasanay na rin ang dog. Kasi weekly naman papalitan ng plaster at lilinisin ng rubbing alcohol ang ear to svoid infection.
People sedate their dog all the time, when they go into the groomers/vets/plane rides/long car rides/any stressful situations. Especially for an anxious dog that gets aggressive in public. People sedate themselves 😬
It is not cruel. Dobermans are notorious for getting ear infections due to water/humidity getting trapped in their large droopy ears. Posting them allows them to aerate and not become infected. A week of pain as a puppy for a lifetime free of infections. Should you not dock their tails either so they can break them? These are not cosmetic procedures. They have all been done for a purpose with the dogs health in mind.

You mean the puppy is absolutely comfortable with the owner and tired/sleepy from being a puppy. If your dogs don't share this level of trust with you then maybe YOU are the problem.

For mine (medium crop) they starting standing at 6 weeks but we did 8 weeks before we quit posting the ears. You don't want to let them fall
