Naquin's inside the parker has to be the most heartfelt call I've ever heard. You could feel his elation seeing the ball off the bat, the heartbreak of realizing it wasn't getting out, the excitement of seeing the play not be made, the rush of Naquin rounding the bases and the pure joy of seeing him cross the plate.
Long time, diehard Cubs fan (I know, sorry) but fortunate enough to live in Ohio and get to listen to Tom quite a bit. He is just so fun to listen to. "Swung on and belted...."
Nick Swisher is the player who's a 7 out of 10. We always want to think he'll put in a 9 out of 10 performance but then he's like, "nope, I'm a 7. I'm gonna settle in at .245/.330/.460 with 23 hrs at a corner position and no speed. This is who I am. You'll get used to it, like everyone else has."
Not gonna lie. As a tribe fan I was hyped about getting swisher. But was bummed about his overall play. But a walkoff grand slam is something special. So good for him on that AB
Cleveland will always be my home despite living elsewhere. One of the things I miss the most was Cleveland Baseball but hearing Tom Hamilton just takes me back there.
I lived in OH in the late 99's and I remember Hamilton very well. I'm in WI, and Uecker is awesome, but Hamilton is right up there with him. Sometimes I'll tube in WTAM at night just to hear him.
Guy is a legend! I love hearing his play by play...yes.. Lonnie's night not in here... But I just replay it from time to time On my MLB subscription :)
We would all be sneaking back and forth to the radio in the work truck and come back to the crew and tell the crew what was happening but when it got tight we would be like forget it and just go outside and listen.
I remember being a kid and seeing we were down big. My buddy aj was over and we would stay up late playing video games when we should have been sleeping and none of the TV's had cable except in my mom's room so I'd sneak in and turn the volume all the way down, come back a few minute later and we'd keep coming back and I'd run downstairs and tell my buddy.. my favorite game probably ever
We would mute the TV and have the radio on. Yeah there was a delay but still gave me goose bumps hearing it. Also I will always have memories of the 90s when they were young and amazing listening to them all summer with my dad while working around the barn.
His greatest call was in the 2016 playoffs, Miller on the mound vs blue jays. All he say is 0-2 count I’m going to let the crowd call the next pitch. And of-course all you hear is the crowd erupt!!
Greatest ever! We're so lucky to have him as our announcer. Great list, but I would have thrown in the squirrel commentary and the one where he was getting on Rosie for an entire inning because he bought Scott's Lawn Food (sponsor plug) and left it for his poor wife to do. Classics!
I love to listen to him for his great Great Lakes accent. I used to think he must be from Ontario. But I looked it up, and he learned to talk in Wisconsin.
Need an update with the 8th inning shot by Rajai Davis in game 7 of the 2016 WS. For us long suffering Tribe fans, it was the closest thing to winning the WS in our lifetimes.
Jim Thome's might have been a Hollywood script but then again, that was offered up to him on purpose. 88 mile an hour fast ball just above the belt. You could even tell by the delivery, the Twins were saying "Adios and here you go"
That 2016 WS was a total disappointment. I was watching the game, on TV, 📺 & listening, to Tom Hamilton, on the radio, 📻 & those FUCKING Cubs, beat our asses. I hate the national league, so much. I've seen the Indians, go to the WS, three times, in my lifetime, & every time, we went-to the WS, we would lose. I think, the national league SUCKS!!!
Tomy is the best .those cals take me back because i was at 2 of those games .its truly a long story .the company i worked for had tickets underneath the containers they served our lunch in on friday nights .i was wotkibg 2 nd shift and won 4 times shift. .one game i recall vividly was the game that eddie murray walked off kenny lofton was on first base .the game went 10 innings it was the winning home run that night .anyway i had yo ho into work first that afternoon worked about 1 hour anyway i walked up to my surpervisor that day and said her Rich i have indians fever then ssid im out of here to go to the game he just smiled and said i bet you do enjoy the game .of course i had yo take half f a point that night but it was dismissed because the ticket was win at work so the union said its ot right yo give the man a half point since the tickets were won at work do the comp.took it off .my God wnat a game il never forget.heard tomy call that one man the chills i get .
As an Indians fan when the Indians ever win the world series or even the alcs I want to hear the announcer say the indians win it the Indians win it omg the Indians win it.
Naquin's inside the parker has to be the most heartfelt call I've ever heard. You could feel his elation seeing the ball off the bat, the heartbreak of realizing it wasn't getting out, the excitement of seeing the play not be made, the rush of Naquin rounding the bases and the pure joy of seeing him cross the plate.
i was at the game after that one, won 2-1 in a snooze fest lol
That wasn't Tom Hamilton though.
My brother and I were in line for beer at blossom music center to see Hank Williams jr. Watching that on his phone
Greatest Baseball Commentator of ALL TIME!!!
+Miguel Rodriguez Without question. Certainly the greatest today.
agreed
+YankeeNation respect for you
Mike Gauer
You are absolutely on the money!
Long time, diehard Cubs fan (I know, sorry) but fortunate enough to live in Ohio and get to listen to Tom quite a bit. He is just so fun to listen to. "Swung on and belted...."
He is HILARIOUS! And it's awesome because he gets really excited when the other team makes great plays!
He just truly loves baseball, dude has sort of a sixth sense for the game.
Grew up listening to Hammy. When the Indians win the World Series, I want to hear this man call the final out.
eyl227 imagining this just gave me goosebumps
They fucking blew it again they better win sometime between 2018-2020
Chills
"BALLGAME!!!"
@@Luke-we7uf well unfortunately we did not 😂
Tom Hamilton you're one of greatest ever thanks
Had Hammy announce one of my hockey games back in high school. Ended up getting four goals, couldn’t get enough of his voice I guess lol. Great guy!
It is pretty cool that they caught Swisher's only good at bat of his Indians career.
If you said swisher woujd hit a gw grand slam would you still trade ?
i love it when hammy gets excited, GO TRIBE!
Jesus those bring back some memories
I wish Hammy could call Tribe games forever. Long live the King of BB play by play, Tom Hamilton.
Cleveland will always be my home despite living elsewhere. One of the things I miss the most was Cleveland Baseball but hearing Tom Hamilton just takes me back there.
Fantastic! Thanks for posting.
Tom is the man.
Tom is simply a legend!!!!
Seriously THE. BEST. VOICE. IN. BASEBALL. 😄
I lived in OH in the late 99's and I remember Hamilton very well. I'm in WI, and Uecker is awesome, but Hamilton is right up there with him. Sometimes I'll tube in WTAM at night just to hear him.
Tom Hamilton narrated my childhood
So many legends its crazy Kenny lofton was my favourite.
Guy is a legend!
I love hearing his play by play...yes.. Lonnie's night not in here... But I just replay it from time to time
On my MLB subscription :)
The absolute best home run call in radio..."A swing and a drive...deep right field....Awaaaaay back..... Gone
Tom Hamilton, best announcer ever.
Him and Matt Vasgerisan.
I disagree...I would say Harry Doyle
Are we forgetting Joe Tait already? He was able to transfer his talents to baseball games fairly well...🤔😁
if you made it this year you could add Naquin's walk off inside the park home run too. Incredible moment
That would be #1
God I miss those teams from the 90's.
Enjoy this team, there is something very special going on this year in Cleve! I can see a Tribe vs Cubs world series.
fan4life34 You called it lol
We would all be sneaking back and forth to the radio in the work truck and come back to the crew and tell the crew what was happening but when it got tight we would be like forget it and just go outside and listen.
LOVE TOM HAMILTON........GOOSEBUMPS
Great list, personally I like the comeback call when we were down 12 to the Mariners and won in extras
Sarah Remmel that was the day before my birthday... What a gift huh!!
If we ever lose this guy, imma riot.
Love Tom Hamilton's calls! As a White Sox fan, it was really cool hearing his call of the Mark Buehrle play like it was one of the Indians...
Haha I love listening to Tom!
I may never see a WS win in my life, but this team will always make me believe
We would mute the TV and have the radio on. Yeah there was a delay but still gave me goose bumps hearing it. Also I will always have memories of the 90s when they were young and amazing listening to them all summer with my dad while working around the barn.
Jim Thome could have been the player to make it to the bleachers at the old stadium
This should be updated to number 1 being Naquin's walk off inside the park. That still gives me goose bumps
now we also got DOWN GOES ANDERSON, DOWN GOES ANDERSON!🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Incomplete without "OH! MY! GOODNESS!
6 is truly number 1 for me will be forever
Greatest baseball game, I ever watched, in 2001.
God I f*cking love Tom's voice
Tom and Rick are Cleveland legends
Matt Underwood is too.
I was at that JimThome game in 2011
His greatest call was in the 2016 playoffs, Miller on the mound vs blue jays. All he say is 0-2 count I’m going to let the crowd call the next pitch. And of-course all you hear is the crowd erupt!!
It's just missing Travis Hafner's walk off grand slam against Toronto... Other than that it is perfect!
i was there!! :D
It could also use naquin's, which, coincidentally, i was there too lol!! :D :D
That one stuck out to me too as my favorite.. I really liked hafner too, I think that was the season he hit like 7 grannys
Boy that voice brings back so many great memories
Simply the best.
Fitting in Albert Belle's HR off Greg Maddux over Justice's head would have been cool.
Man, oh man, being a Cleveland fan and going to games, especially in the mid 90's, there's absolutely nothing like it.
Anybody notice how often Kenny was the one scoring the winning run?😁😁👍
2:57- The look on Alan Porter's face says "Damn, that guy's gonna go far!"
Do a updated one! Or from the 2016 season!
The 22-game winning streak, in 2017.
What is this music in the background?
Hamilton's voice makes me happy
Greatest ever! We're so lucky to have him as our announcer. Great list, but I would have thrown in the squirrel commentary and the one where he was getting on Rosie for an entire inning because he bought Scott's Lawn Food (sponsor plug) and left it for his poor wife to do. Classics!
And we missed Chisenhall's historic record setting night of June 9th. :((
The call for Giambi should have been #1. Hammy is far and away the best in the game.
chronological order. oldest to newest
As an Oriole fan, when they're not on, I often tuned in to Indians games, mostly to hear Tom Hamilton's calls. One of the greatest.
I love to listen to him for his great Great Lakes accent. I used to think he must be from Ontario. But I looked it up, and he learned to talk in Wisconsin.
The good old day's when it was Jacobs Field!😊
Down goes Anderson! Down goes Anderson!
What about Naquin's game winning inside the park home run in 2016?
On Tom's birthday. August 19.
After last night, I think this needs to be updated
Getting hyped for tonight! Any updates you might make to this?
Lol this aged poorly
I grew up near St. Louis listening to Harry Caray in his prime. Tom Hamilton is very much in the same tradition.
There IS nobody better than Hammy
If cleveland won a world series:
Tom: the pitch... SWING AND A MISS!!!! THE INDIANS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to be adding a World Series to this list soon...
Need an update with the 8th inning shot by Rajai Davis in game 7 of the 2016 WS. For us long suffering Tribe fans, it was the closest thing to winning the WS in our lifetimes.
One of the goat commentators in mlb
Anyway we can get an updated version of this. I mean, this list is good... But there's been one or two good ones since. lol
His call of the triple play. Unbelievable. Wish it could have made the list.
Can we get an updated top 20 maybe been a couple this week that may make the list
Wow😱😱😱! Hammy is The B.I.B./ The In the Business ! I literally have goose bumps . Amazing stuff
Definitely the greatest of all times
Great video
Tom Hamilton and Herb Score and Joe Tait are 3 of the greatest Tribe announcers of all time.
I was at the 10/5/07 game about 15 rows from the top under the panini camera.
how did Swisher get #1 giambi definitely should be #1 that call still bring back chills (How About That!)
+Jamar Dantzler Chronological order...
+JLTRAIN233 I think swisher should be first
Chronological order definition, the arrangement of things following one after another in time
Jamar Dantzler chronological order....
Jamar Dantzler finally a real tribe fan👍🏽👍🏽
nice vid
It isn't Indians Baseball without Hammy calling on the radio.
Damn right. Tom Hamilton is the greatest. I ❤❤❤ listening, to Tom call home runs.
Jim Thome's might have been a Hollywood script but then again, that was offered up to him on purpose.
88 mile an hour fast ball just above the belt. You could even tell by the delivery, the Twins were saying "Adios and here you go"
You should include the Rajai Davis home run from Game 7 of the 2016 World Series and Lindor’s home run from the 2017 ALDS Game 2
I think, the national league SUCKS!!!
such good and bad memories from the indians teams from late 90's.. 94 was our year if there wasnt that strike
selecting the top 10 best calls is harsh so the Chronological Order is the diplomatic route
He's the best there is!
what about hafners walk off grand slam??
Albert Belle's 50th should have been in there.
Check out his call on Hafner's walkoff grand slam against Toronto 7/7/11
Someone is forgetting the Rajai Davis home run against the Cubs!!
And the giambi walk off wooo
"IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOoone-...."
Haha great
Tomy is the best .those cals take me back because i was at 2 of those games .its truly a long story .the company i worked for had tickets underneath the containers they served our lunch in on friday nights .i was wotkibg 2 nd shift and won 4 times shift. .one game i recall vividly was the game that eddie murray walked off kenny lofton was on first base .the game went 10 innings it was the winning home run that night .anyway i had yo ho into work first that afternoon worked about 1 hour anyway i walked up to my surpervisor that day and said her Rich i have indians fever then ssid im out of here to go to the game he just smiled and said i bet you do enjoy the game .of course i had yo take half f a point that night but it was dismissed because the ticket was win at work so the union said its ot right yo give the man a half point since the tickets were won at work do the comp.took it off .my God wnat a game il never forget.heard tomy call that one man the chills i get .
Number one should be Tyler Naquin's inside-the-park Home run in 2016.
How does this not have his call of the Game 7 HR against the Cubs in the World Series????
Maybe...just maybe...this was uploaded in 2014
I won’t say that but he is really special
This dude is truly the Rick Jeanneret of Baseball.
And Joe Buck still gets to call the World Series.....what a shame!
Kenny was always on the bases in big games.
As an Indians fan when the Indians ever win the world series or even the alcs I want to hear the announcer say the indians win it the Indians win it omg the Indians win it.
Harry Kalis and Tom Hamilton.
Imagine how good Hamlton would be with a major league team . . .
I was at 6 of those games
I was expecting the comeback against the Mariners to be number 1.
