Absolutely love your projects, particularly your custom cushion for your brother! That's an heirloom piece! Love listening to your accent, and thoroughly enjoy your episodes. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊
Wonderful to sit and knit with you while you chat this morning Ailie. I love that cushion you are making for your brother. What an incredibly generous and beautiful gift for him. Cannot wait to see you soon in real life ❤
Me too!!! Only 6 weeks to go 🎉 Thanks for spending your morning with me Jean, and thanks for your kind words about the cushion 🥰❤️…I still haven’t tackled that zip insertion!
Thank-you for the lovely company dear Ailie 🤗 The cushion you're making for your brother is beautiful. Such a wonderful, personalized gift will be treasured I'm sure! Your embroidery piece is gorgeous as well! I do so love the look of blackwork and you've inspired me to dig out one of my old blackwork WIPs to work on 🤗 Happy Making 💕
🥰 Thanks for spending time with me Nikki! Ooh, would love to see your blackwork WIP sometime, I bet it’s beautiful. Sending love across the pond to you ❤️ and wishing you lots of time to enjoy your making this Autumn/Fall 🍂🍁🍄
Your knitting is very advanced and absolutely exquisite! That’s probably why you need a little break from time to time! Your double knitting is fabulous. Your brother’s cushion is amazing! You’re very talented! I had the great pleasure to visit Scotland last summer. We were there for two weeks and we fell in love! Probably the most amazing vacation we’ve ever been on! Lucky you! What a fabulous place to live. ❤
Oh my goodness, so many kind compliments, thank you!! 🥰💕 I intersperse the complicated projects with simple ones sometimes, but you’re right, I do tend to be a bit over ambitious at times…that would very much explain the need for a break and foray into embroidery! I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip to Scotland, I do hope you’ll be back one day 🤞
Always lovely to spend time with you Ailie ❤❤❤ that pillow case for your brother is so so fantastic!! Do finish it and keep it for yourself 😂😂 Everytime I see your mooncrush pullover I feel like bringing out my skeins for the mooncrush tank and casting on! Thank you for recording and sharing your making with us! I also absolutely love your embroidery 😮😅 so beautiful 😍 Take care ❤

Hi Ailie! It’s so nice to hear from you and see your beautiful projects! I love the cushion for your brother. I’m very inspired to make one myself! Love the door- to-door toy sellers. So funny!!
😆 They were priceless. At first I thought they were maybe raising money for a charity or something, but no, they just wanted new stuff…it fairly made me laugh! Thanks for being here 💕💗💕
Lovely to catch your podcast again Ailie. That cushion for your brother is seriousy gorgeous - one very lucky fella indeed . Keep well . Must have been so amusing to have those children peering in your window toward the end and what an enterprising lot they are selling their toys .
Aw, thanks Caroline ☺️💕 Ha! Yes, the kids were hilarious. They were coming in the gate as I was trying to finish recording; the door went less than a second after I said goodbye 😆 They certainly gave me a laugh!
So good to see you Allie! This visit was like a wonderful visit with a friend. I so badly want 5to try knitting that reversible hat now! Maybe with some Shetland yarn for the KAL. 😁
Yes! You should try it 👍 I promise it’s no where near as complicated to knit as I was making it out to be…my brain was mush when recording! 🫣 That’s such a kind thing to say 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you! Ax
This is my first time watching and just love your color choices. I’m jealous of your brother’s cushion. I might have to make one for my tractor seat. 😂 I lie. I would never put it in my tractor.
🤣🤣🤣 Maybe you could relax on it with a cup of something comforting after a hard day on your tractor?! Thanks so much for watching, and a big welcome to you 💕
Hi Ailie. Lovely to see you again and hope your keeping well. The cushion for your brother is awesome and I'm sure he will love it. I'm not sure about your hat. It's really lovely but I think you should keep going and block it. A bigger size might be too big. The yarn looks so nice and I've been looking for sport weight for a sweater so good to know about this yarn. Look forward to thenext one. Take care.❤
Thanks Heather 💗 I honestly don’t know what to do with the hat. My instincts tell me it’s too small, but it doesn’t feel tight…so maybe blocking will work some magic 🤞 The Yarnadelic Sport is lovely. I’ll keep you posted as to how it wears x
It was such a pleasure to see you again! You’ve been/are making some beautiful things. Have you tried drying your jumper in a tumble dryer? If you have one, of course! I have a cotton tee that I knitted a few years ago that grows in width over time. I wash it in the machine and then dry it in the tumble dryer and that shrinks it back to its original size.
Thanks Mairead ☺️ That’s a great idea, I wondered if that might be the way to go. I don’t have a working tumble dryer, but I’m sure I could convince one of my loved ones to pop it in theirs 👍💕
I was so pleased to see your new episode pop up today Ailie 😊 and I really enjoyed it! Your reversible hat looks fabulous- I haven’t tried double knitting yet but one of my best friends recently produced an amazing scarf in double knitting 🧶 I love your other hat too- it looks snug but if it doesn’t feel too tight I think I’d continue with it 😊 I’ve recently started asking the Easwas Hat by KateDavies- I’ll try to remember to pop it in your Caledonian KAL. Looking forward to seeing you again soon xx
That’s so kind, thank you! 💕💗💕 I think you’re right about the hat…I’m going to carry on and hope that blocking works its magic. If it doesn’t, then I’m sure my sister in law (who has a smaller head than me) will give it a good home 😉 Ooh, the Easwas Hat is beautiful; I bet it’s an enjoyable project to work on. What colour have you gone for? Yes, definitely enter it in the Caledonia KAL, I’ve decided there will be prizes 🎁
@@TheThoughtfulKnitter Yes I’ve been wanting to knit the Easwas Hat for ages! I love your intarsia sweater, and I hope to see a version in wool soon! The cushion for your brother is amazing - he'll love it. I'd be inclined to rip out the hat - hats too small are not warm. But by now you may have finished it and hopefully it will ease up.
Thank you! I’ve really been enjoying wearing it…now to decide on a colour combo and yarn for a winter version 😃 I think you’re probably right about the hat. Typically for me I’ve finished it anyway, despite knowing it was small! The weird thing is that it doesn’t feel tight though. I’m still undecided as to whether to try blocking and add it to the gift pile if it’s still small, or just pull it out and start again. Decision paralysis! Thanks for watching 💕

I think you’re probably right about the hat. It’s weird though, because it doesn’t feel tight. Knowing me, I’ll carry on and finish it…confirm it’s too small…then pull the whole thing out and start again. I like to make life difficult for myself 😆🫣
Thanks for watching 💕💗💕
The hat does look a bit too small. The cushion for your brother is fabulous!
Thank you 🙂 Yes, it’s definitely small but doesn’t feel tight, which is weird. Knowing me, I’ll carry on and finish it, confirm it’s too small, and then rip it out! 🙄😆
I like the hat your working and think you should finish it🧶
Thanks Barb ☺️ I think I will. The worst that will happen is it’s too small and I have to either give it away or knit it again…which would be no hardship considering how much I like knitting!
