She said she tries to teach her son her traditions but this seemed very foreign to him. If she really wanted to pass that tradition down, perhaps she should have taught him these things from birth, not just when the camera comes on. It doesn't even have to be something done everyday but maybe they could've chosen 1 day out of the week where the family sits on the floor and eat with their hands. I think it's a very sad thing not to pass on traditions and languages to your children.

i 100 % believe that nina would have said that about caroline s. nina seems quite conservative, family-oriented, and at the dinner last episode, she was truly baffled how caroline couldnt give a shit about sergios parents and sitting with them at their WEDDINGGG. i cant see how someone with nina's culture can truly like someone like caroline, who seems pretty self-absorbed and not very maternal at all.

Dana, the tradition of men in the Middle East is to not allow women to go anywhere unaccompanied by a male. They traditionally aren't even allowed to drive. So technically, he's following tradition.

Using your logic all of the American housewives shows are missed opportunities because the wives aren't native American. The UAE is like the United States. If you immigrate there you can apply to become a citizen. 80% of the population is non emirati ethnicity. Rhonj is all Italian immigrants. We don't say they're not American because they're Italian.

I was excited when I heard about this franchise, however I was hoping to see more middle eastern culture throughout. This is not what I want to see. I can get this from the US franchises.
