Literally it's part of the fight style, capoeira was created how a martial art disguised as a dance, in a traditional way the fighters fight listening the song of drums, claps and a instrument called "Berimbau" while people make a circle around them, it's awesome
@@KuroYHime Like any other martial arts, most people practice for the fun of it. Although, capoeira sparring is particularly playful, more like a game. Even though when egos get in the way, it can be a pretty dangerous game. And it is not like it is coreographed. Even as a dance, it is improvised, so you need to respect those kicks.
The reason its so powerful is because the style is insanely good at using your entire body distribiliting ALL of its momentum into a strike whole also using the ground as a force multiplier. Those guys ragdolling like that is because of such power being struk to chin and jaw, id love to learn this style as well, since dancing isnt my thing, but if it were a hidden defence that i could use to dance and stay fit, yeah, ill learn that dance

Sou capoeirista! Treinamos muito os chutes para acertar a distância e golpes para surpreender caso o adversário decida encurtar a distância.
Such an interesting fighting style. This + BJJ would be a devastating combo. Capoeria has devastating strikes but it seems it puts the fighter in bad positions (should they miss) with either their leg caught or on the ground after an attack like the 1st and 2nd clip.
That's partially why all serious practitioners in Brazil cross-train in BJJ or Luta Livre because the two styles complement each other really well. Capoeira does have effective takedowns on its own, though. Up close, it also uses extensively headbutts and flying headbutts to vulnerable parts of the body (mostly the throat, the chin and the nose) and elbow strikes. But yeah the overall pattern is: feints and traps setting up power kicks followed by a series of power kicks; if they miss, and the opponents breaks the distance, headbutts, elbow strikes and eye pokes; if that misses, a takedown; if you're standing and your opponent is on the floor, there's a bunch of nasty finishing stomps; else, it turns to BJJ / Luta Livre grappling. That's the blueprint

Vulnerable capoeira opponents appear to be those who allow themselves to get caught up watching.
Problem with such an unconventional style is it's hard to react to. How often do you practice defending against shit like this? It's not in your muscle memory, so it's easy to get caught unprepared.

The best bet is to maintain a close reach combat to just deal with the punches and grapples

The meia lua de compasso is a nasty kick. That kick will straight up break jaw bones into multiple pieces and the person throwing the kick will barely feel it. It’s like getting kicked with a baseball bat that has a large rock taped on the end of it.

I have always thought similarly, but it would have to be executed well...these are professional fighters who are getting caught with those spinning techniques...
@@jameswysocki6806 If you step into any kicker, that takes their offense out of the game. Yes, you will need to execute timing and speed, but it's not difficult to merely move in close and avoid a kick.
The problem is when you stay in line with their aim. Once they begin to spin, their kick is going to land on a targeted spot, and if you change your location, their kick will miss.

Never tried Capoeira, from what im seeing, seems like a high risk high reward kinda stuff, the hits are powerful, but if you misses you're most likely screwed
Should be paired with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so you're never completely defenseless

When the Ufc was making their rules some jackass had seen people breaking bricks with that strike and they banned it.
