My favorite piece in the giveaway is the china dish. I use bits and pieces of china throughout my home because it is easy to find in my area. Art that I like is not easy to find so I have been purchasing downloadable art work from Etsy, having it printed at a local Walgreens and using a thrifted frame. It's amazing how beautiful these turn out. I would love more episodes on thrifting clothing and putting outfits together. I am so happy I just found your channel. I saw your comment on Sherry from Canterbury Cottage section. We were homeless for 5 years and lost all of our belongings that were in storage. We just purchased a drug house to rehab and I love to see how others restyle their thrifting finds. We are on an extremely limited budget. We found out our septic system needed replacing and we spent a whole year digging it by hand with shovels. We were finishing up as the 1st snow started. It is extremely hard work especially since we have health issues and are in our late 50's. I would really love to be entered in each giveaway, but my favorite is the little lamp. Books are a number one item to thrift. Not just for decor, but I am an avid reader, addicted to books, so getting them thrifted is economical and wise. The other things i am always on the look out for are faux flowers and dried flowers, moss and other floral decor stuff, to make new arrangements and wreaths. I have a wreath on each hallway door and others scattered around the house in windows, on shelves, etc. I have trouble keeping live plants alive for very long in the house, so silk plants have to suffice to give a softer vibrant look.

Our kitchen / dining room is more of the vintage eclectic cottage with many of my Mother's inherited pieces. The dish is my most favorite give-away item. So pretty !! Not on decorating, but I buy many health books at the thrift store, particularly, nursing, EMT, respiratory therapy etc , textbooks😂 I am hoping to find medical books from med school, but they are few and far between. Old veterinary science books occasionally turn up, as well as old medical books, like 1900 to 1945 era. Some things never change, so any medical knowledge is worth its weight in gold! If you ever have to manage a medical condition without the benefit of emergency rooms or abundant doctors/dentists you will be VERY grateful for a little knowledge!

Used books are a life saver for me. I read about 20-30 books per month. If I had to buy them new I would go broke. I have also a huge selection of art books and decorating books. BTW the floral chair you are sitting in today was on the cover of a Country decor magazine last month!

I just found and bought two handmade hand knotted rugs!!! Got them for around $6 each and one is a large circle and the other 4 x 6 ft. Got them this past weekend. No one else seems as excited as I am about them but that’s ok I’m excited enough for everyone here!!! Plus I found a vintage bowl with pitcher made by International China I think but it goes perfect on my vintage dry sink in my master bathroom!!! My next project will be a gallery wall with different size frames and maybe some plates as well. I love your channel.

My favorite piece in the giveaway is the china dish. I use bits and pieces of china throughout my home because it is easy to find in my area. Art that I like is not easy to find so I have been purchasing downloadable art work from Etsy, having it printed at a local Walgreens and using a thrifted frame. It's amazing how beautiful these turn out. I would love more episodes on thrifting clothing and putting outfits together. I am so happy I just found your channel. I saw your comment on Sherry from Canterbury Cottage section. We were homeless for 5 years and lost all of our belongings that were in storage. We just purchased a drug house to rehab and I love to see how others restyle their thrifting finds. We are on an extremely limited budget. We found out our septic system needed replacing and we spent a whole year digging it by hand with shovels. We were finishing up as the 1st snow started. It is extremely hard work especially since we have health issues and are in our late 50's. I would really love to be entered in each giveaway, but my favorite is the little lamp. There was SO much more to say about using books in decor, shelf styling, books on side tables, in baskets by your favorite reading chair, books as gifts... But the video was getting waaaay too long. Wish I could send you books from the sale today! And happy shelf hunting!
Books are a number one item to thrift. Not just for decor, but I am an avid reader, addicted to books, so getting them thrifted is economical and wise. The other things i am always on the look out for are faux flowers and dried flowers, moss and other floral decor stuff, to make new arrangements and wreaths. I have a wreath on each hallway door and others scattered around the house in windows, on shelves, etc. I have trouble keeping live plants alive for very long in the house, so silk plants have to suffice to give a softer vibrant look.

Our kitchen / dining room is more of the vintage eclectic cottage with many of my Mother's inherited pieces. The dish is my most favorite give-away item. So pretty !! Not on decorating, but I buy many health books at the thrift store, particularly, nursing, EMT, respiratory therapy etc , textbooks😂 I am hoping to find medical books from med school, but they are few and far between. Old veterinary science books occasionally turn up, as well as old medical books, like 1900 to 1945 era. Some things never change, so any medical knowledge is worth its weight in gold! If you ever have to manage a medical condition without the benefit of emergency rooms or abundant doctors/dentists you will be VERY grateful for a little knowledge!

Everyone loves my home because I have art from the top to bottom of all my walls….please don’t forget to also hang your kids and grandkids art work made SPECIAL just for you…..also don’t forget to put a small lamp on your kitchen counters and on top of your fridge….lamps and art makes it much homier!!!!!!……don’t forget to add a lamp to a piece of furniture in your garage or carport to greet guests….and a mirror too

Used books are a life saver for me. I read about 20-30 books per month. If I had to buy them new I would go broke. I have also a huge selection of art books and decorating books.

I just found and bought two handmade hand knotted rugs!!! Got them for around $6 each and one is a large circle and the other 4 x 6 ft. Got them this past weekend. No one else seems as excited as I am about them but that’s ok I’m excited enough for everyone here!!! Plus I found a vintage bowl with pitcher made by International China I think but it goes perfect on my vintage dry sink in my master bathroom!!! My next project will be a gallery wall with different size frames and maybe some plates as well. I love your channel.

Hi Rachel, I really enjoyed your video today. Two things I would like to see more of - how you do your inspiration board and how to zero in on what specifically you like and also do more on the lighting section. What kinds of lighting to use for what purpose etc. How do I pick my favorite cottage style, I didn't realize there was so many.

I just discovered your channel and definitely subscribed! I love to go antiquing and to the consignment stores in my area and usually I am able to find several treasures. I also love to host tea parties throughout the year and I enjoy designing the tablescape to match the season or holiday.
