That Terry's chocolate orange advert traumatised me as a kid. I was haunted by it. It's just absolutely crammed with sheer horror. Those sinister voices of the two women, that look of menace on the old chap's face, the suspenseful music. And not least the fact that he discovers the gateway to hell behind a cupboard.
I can't say I'm in love with getting old either as I myself am 47 but at least we have the memory of a more simple time that we grew up in. Thanks for watching!
First things first.. theres a couple in there I really fancy now I remember them... the Spira and Applause for starters, they were lovely! Mind you, I always found that Ferrero Kinder Egg ad a bit disturbing lol
Some great ones here, some I’ve never saw before. I don’t remember raisins in double decker, glad they don’t have them now. I hate raisins! Also, hob nob bars were great, wish they’d bring them back. What was the third viscount flavour? Only remember orange and mint.
I don't remember what the third flavour was but maybe it was spearmint given the wrapper colour or double chocolate. I'm sure I remember them doing a raspberry one at some point for five minutes. Thanks for watching!
This is a time when adverts were enjoyable not the hell for shaken ones we get today if your dying life insurance funeral plans beg beg beg adverts betting adverts alarm adverts and don’t forget the only people watching day time tv are of a certain age apparently and need all types of equipment god forbid younger people watch tv around shifts life was more enjoyable then than having death thrower at you every 15 minutes please give us a break all we want is to actually live our lives !
I remember some of these adverts, so much nostalgia
so many choices back then, always something new. now half of them are gone, and the rest are wrecked beyond recognition.
I agree chocolate used to be far better back in the 80s and 90s. Thanks for watching!

I don't think you understood this advert. It was a copy of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I remember Spira. Just to use them as straws to suck milk through. 😋

They should certainly bring back Spira.

Old adverts back then why do we have to get hold 🤔
Was that Rik Mayall in the spacesuit in the 5-4-3-2-1 ad??
HI, It does look a lot like him but I can't find any evidence of this. Thanks for watching!
Just googled and seems it is Rik! 1982 so an early TV appearance for him!
@@PHILD0 Good to know! He is a legend and all of us of a certain age miss him.
After Eights are lliterally the same as the mint flavoured Viscount
Eh? The only similarity is the mint creme. Viscount is milk chocolate and has a biscuit layer. After Eights are dark chocolate and just creme.
