As a member of the big titty community who also happens to be short thank you for not body shaming Ilulu. A lot of these people will redesign out of spite and make all women flat chested and put in super covered up outfits which makes me upset because I look like that and I have baby face (that being said Loli is still weird man) it feels nice to not be erased just cause some people refuse to believe that people can have more then small ones and still not be sexual
His Ilulu redesign is not good and doesn't make sense. The only possible way to know how tall is a character without any external point of reference is by looking at the head-body proportion, if the body has 4-5 heads the character is short, if the body has 7-8 heads, the character is tall. Also the art-style in Maid Dragon has bigger heads in general. So by reducing the head size of Ilulu, you are essentially forced to increase her total body size, if you don't do that, her head will look a lot smaller than the head of the other characters and she will look out of place inside the anime. To put things simple, if he wants to keep her the same height she was in the anime, he just can't change the head size, and he said in the video that he wanna keep her short, so his design is objectively flawed

I'm not one for the designs like Ilulu but it's explained why her chest is massive. She stores flames in them as she's a fire dragon. They even inconvenience her for time to time due to their size.

7:51 The problem is not large breasts, but her basic anatomy and balance. ofc a person can have a big breasts but cannot have large breasts and still have a slim body. That's why I'm glad you made her size suitable for her breasts, now she can move more easily.
I enjoy these design interpretations for the characters, but especially the last one. She can still be a short stack with a large chest, but have better proportions. Thanks for your input on such a character, and making her appear more age appropriate, if thats the correct term.
5:28 Honestly, Todoroki looks way better. I like the idea of the colors that indicate which side is which, and the boots work a bit better as it makes it feel more like a super suit.
Hopefully my comment wasn't(in your opinion,) one of the "harsh" ones, like I said last time, as an artist, I just prefer giving critique. Especially when people claim they're "fixing" character designs, when in my opinion it should be down to the original makers of the design to call it fixing, y'know? That being said, here's what I gotta say: 1. Naruto... I have to agree, the original design wasn't...bad, just didn't feel like it's, well, Naruto. Next, love the clothing design, even if they were only a few subtle changes, it really works(in my opinion) better than the original. The only thing I woulda added, was his iconic headband on, like he dad when he was also Hokage.(also I'm pretty sure the right hand/left for viewer, was bandaged up from losing it) Strong start, and I wouldn't say I'd prefer either to be better than the other. 2. SHOTOOOOOO!! First off, the bottom half: love it. It really shows more creativity than just having a plane, blue jump suit bottom half and the colors really give me the vibe of Fire & Ice! Top half Can't say much about as it's the same, just adding under sleeves to it, as well as the fire/ice colors to the side. Quirk wise, just feels a bit underwhelming to see him just use a small bit of fire with no ice on the other. Overall still love this altogether. And 3. Ilulu I wouldn't say her design was bad, just gave people a very bad perspective of what she was meant to be. That being said, it's a great change having to give her a bit more height and a more mature looking-vibe. Boots-love, stockings-also love, even the gloves-wouldn't touch on them! The suit tho, kinda just looks like her old one with a witch cape added. I think the horns & tail are also fine details with the more sharper appearance to them! Lastly, for hair I would've made the fade more reflect that of her glowing orange heat abilities, and maybe tone down the red a bit on the lipstick. All-in-all I love these design a lot! Again, I don't wanna look like a hater, but I just wanna give my overall opinions to these character designs and hope this can reach people who feels the same.

Yep. I like all 3 of the redesigns. Never watched any of these shows but I agree with your way of thinking entirely. Favorite one is the dragon girl, thought for a second why have her in panties but then yeah, there's the tail and really why would you try to overcomplicate it for someone who is actually a dragon. She would kinda be the oddball in society but wouldn't really care about that since it's really not an issue where she's from. Could still be too much in her characters opinion.

Omg thank you! Your version of Illulu looks way better, she looks sturdy (weird wording i hope you get it). I always felt like she looked off and i think it's mainly because of how the rest of the body doesn't seem to match or coexist that well (aka child body with two giant melons). I think the main reason people hate Illulu's og design is because of the weird stuff in the anime. Kanna is a kid in the anime and she is often sexualised and shown in weird situations with her friend. There's also strange stuff going on with Shota and Lucoa? (the purple haired boy and his summoned dragon). So i get why people might think Illulu is also just some fetish or something for pdfiles to enjoy...
I think it's relatively easy to make Ilulu's design better (or atleast this is what I do when I draw fanart of her) 1. Making her a few inches taller 2. Giving her wider shoulder and hips so it balances her chest out.

Yeah, sometimes I forget that Ilulu is around Tohru’s age, but then The anime reminds me about it. Also, the real reason her chest is that big is a bit more simple than the flame sacs, it’s because she sucks at taking a human form. Apparently her having chest that big is Ilulu ”pushing” herself. Started this video expecting someone to try and score points with the puritan Twitter crowd, ended the video pleasantly surprised. Brought up some very valid points about the characters and actually redesigned them. Nice vid. Personally I just view Ilulu as a shortstack, but after seeing this video I do agree that she's off proportionally which you fixed in a very nice way.
The Naruto design is actually so sick, he looks like a cool uncle and like he took on some of Jiraya’s energy and yet looks mature and skilled. Todoroki is alr, I thought his original design was fine anyway, and the new one only has minor differences, but it is better. The Ilulu ones I personally don’t really like, but it’s a good design, and a much better redesign than just giving her surgery. Imo the original is fine and despite the unrealistic proportions I don’t think there is anything wrong with it, short girls with big breasts do exist and I don’t think she’s made to be childlike. The new design is still good, but I don’t think it really improved.
Ngl, calling them "Terrible designs", saying you'd "fix" them (Horrible choice of words considering the end product) just to end up making generic ass looking designs that rewrite the character's vibes just because why not was the only "terrible" part of the video. Naruto having random chin hair, metal shin wrappings??? (Wth were you even trying? Naruto ain't even use his legs that much, unpractical and bad looking), Todoroki getting some generic armor pieces chuked in and removing any kind of unique traits he already barely had and removing dragon-like aspects from a dragon character was just dumb (Not to mention the whole personality vibes change which was unasked for too). Bad video title, bad video in itself, ouright just bad.
I really like the girl’s outfit, that you kept her body and skimpy outfit, but changed her face so she doesn’t look like a kid, plus adding volume to her thigh and rest of the body makes her body more balance, well done❤

As for Ilulu - I don't think it's an error in proportions by the author - it's most likely a deliberate artistic distortion in a caricature style. Let's not forget that this is a comedy. You don't have questions about why SpongeBob looks so ridiculous, so to speak. It's the same here - just a caricature cartoon design. Your redesign is essentially a different style - you use semi-realism to a greater extent, while the original is a cartoonish stylization.

Lots of characters in anime (and H of course) are made to be seggsualized but should we not recognize that possibility because it may represents what actual people may look like ? All-in-all I love these design a lot! Again, I don't wanna look like a hater, but I just wanna give my overall opinions to these character designs and hope this can reach people who feels the same.

That Ilulu design actually makes her not look like a child as well, which is a problem when it comes to the anime. Not because of her chest size, but because the way they made her face in the anime. Big eyes = child a lot of the time so that redesign is perfect

Yep. I like all 3 of the redesigns. Never watched any of these shows but I agree with your way of thinking entirely. Favorite one is the dragon girl, thought for a second why have her in panties but then yeah, there's the tail and really why would you try to overcomplicate it for someone who is actually a dragon. She would kinda be the oddball in society but wouldn't really care about that since it's really not an issue where she's from. Could still be too much in her characters opinion.

Omg thank you! Your version of Illulu looks way better, she looks sturdy (weird wording i hope you get it). I always felt like she looked off and i think it's mainly because of how the rest of the body doesn't seem to match or coexist that well (aka child body with two giant melons). I think the main reason people hate Illulu's og design is because of the weird stuff in the anime. Kanna is a kid in the anime and she is often sexualised and shown in weird situations with her friend. There's also strange stuff going on with Shota and Lucoa? (the purple haired boy and his summoned dragon). So i get why people might think Illulu is also just some fetish or something for pdfiles to enjoy...
I think it's relatively easy to make Ilulu's design better (or atleast this is what I do when I draw fanart of her)
1. Making her a few inches taller
2. Giving her wider shoulder and hips so it balances her chest out.
The lore accurate explanation on why Illulu is built like that is that she doesn't know how to properly transform into a human yet

Yeah, sometimes I forget that Ilulu is around Tohru’s age, but then The anime reminds me about it.
Also, the real reason her chest is that big is a bit more simple than the flame sacs, it’s because she sucks at taking a human form. Apparently her having chest that big is Ilulu ”pushing” herself. I find that hilarious.

Personally I just view Ilulu as a shortstack, but after seeing this video I do agree that she's off proportionally which you fixed in a very nice way.

The Naruto design is actually so sick, he looks like a cool uncle and like he took on some of Jiraya’s energy and yet looks mature and skilled. Todoroki is alr, I thought his original design was fine anyway, and the new one only has minor differences, but it is better. The Ilulu ones I personally don’t really like, but it’s a good design, and a much better redesign than just giving her surgery. Imo the original is fine and despite the unrealistic proportions I don’t think there is anything wrong with it, short girls with big breasts do exist and I don’t think she’s made to be childlike. The new design is still good, but I don’t think it really improved.
Ngl, calling them "Terrible designs", saying you'd "fix" them (Horrible choice of words considering the end product) just to end up making generic ass looking designs that rewrite the character's vibes just because why not was the only "terrible" part of the video.
Naruto having random chin hair, metal shin wrappings??? (Wth were you even trying? Naruto ain't even use his legs that much, unpractical and bad looking), Todoroki getting some generic armor pieces chuked in and removing any kind of unique traits he already barely had and removing dragon-like aspects from a dragon character was just dumb (Not to mention the whole personality vibes change which was unasked for too).

I really like the girl’s outfit, that you kept her body and skimpy outfit, but changed her face so she doesn’t look like a kid, plus adding volume to her thigh and rest of the body makes her body more balance, well done❤

I honestly think they're all great! Also, I would love to see Sonic get a redesign, because his current design is super boring and doesn't capture his personality.
As for Ilulu - I don't think it's an error in proportions by the author - it's most likely a deliberate artistic distortion in a caricature style. Let's not forget that this is a comedy. You don't have questions about why SpongeBob looks so ridiculous, so to speak. It's the same here - just a caricature cartoon design. Your redesign is essentially a different style - you use semi-realism to a greater extent, while the original is a cartoonish stylization.

Mineta (My Hero Acadamia) - please get rid of his diaper
Sero (MHA) - idk man I just think he looks ridiculous
Any Jojo character - idrc which, I just want to see you draw a jojo character (in pose), and there are a few with questionable designs
Franky (One Piece) - idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but Franky looked much better before the time skip, I’d like to see you redesign his post time skip look to be more SUPERRRRRR
Another boruto redesign - Sasuke, rock lee, Anko (they did her so dirty)
Maybe some Naruto designs - Guy, Kankuro, Moegi (pease fix that hair)

The Ilulu one made me so happy. As a big chested girl I am so happy you didn’t remove her big chest cause I see that and way too many redesigns and some people would say “it’s better”. It just comes off as boarder line body shaming so I appreciate you for making the redesigning her without removing the chest💙
honestly there's a weird line between the goal of an artist when creating a body, and the body as a genuine person. Lots of characters in anime (and H of course) are made to be seggsualized but should we not recognize that possibility because it may represents what actual people may look like ?
I guess we should just judge by the act rather than by the visual. But even so, there's countless of anime where a girl tries her best to act normally but misunderstood and accidents lead to lewd situation. Well in that case that isn't the fault of the girl but the scenarist...
